I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kingmakers Plantation, and I must say, it was an experience like no other. Nestled within a lush plantation not far from the main road, this tranquil retreat offers a perfect blend of serenity and comfort. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed and ushered into a spacious suite room with two bedrooms, ideal for accommodating a large family or group. The room was impeccably clean, well-appointed, and provided all the amenities one could need for a comfortable stay. What truly sets Kingmakers Plantation apart is its breathtaking surroundings. Surrounded by lush greenery and sprawling plantations, the resort offers a glimpse into the rich biodiversity of the region. One can't help but marvel at the variety of spices and fruits grown within the plantation itself. Before my visit to Kingmakers, my cab driver took me on a plantation tour nearby, which unfortunately turned out to be rather disappointing and overpriced. In hindsight, I realized that I could have enjoyed a similar plantation experience right at Kingmakers itself. Lesson learned for future visitors! The hospitality at Kingmakers was exemplary, with special mention to Mr. Chandrasekar and Emamul, who went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Despite being cut off from GSM calls, the resort provided decent Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing guests to stay connected if needed. Additionally, the availability of 24-hour hot water was a welcome convenience. It's worth noting that there were occasional fluctuations in voltage, but given the remote location of the resort, this was understandable. However, the presence of a power backup ensured that these interruptions did not disrupt the overall experience. In conclusion, my stay at Kingmakers Plantation was nothing short of magical. If you're seeking a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life, look no further. Great place to enjoy stay in nature”
Pros: 1. Location is a coffee plantation and completely surrounded by trees. It is actually a stay in nature, far from the noise of city. The road to plantation is also a good ride surrounded by tall trees on both sides. 2. A 20 minute walk in the plantation will lead you to a river stream. Usually you have such river streams in various tourist points. But it's great to have such a location at the place of stay. 3. Staff is cordial and responsive 4. Owner was also helpful and upgraded our room as it was available 5. Recreation room is good having Pool, carrom, air hockey, foosball table etc. Cons: 1. Food quality was good, but there is scope for improvement. We ordered Biryani, it was more like simple rice cooked with some veggies sprinkled. 2. Bedsheets were washed properly and were clean, however they were old. Tip: 1. Own/hired vehicle is must as location is 7-8 kms from Madikeri and around 1.7 kms from highway. There won't be street lights on the road in night, but the road is safe. You can travel with a little precaution & planning.

Pleasant stay overall”
We were a couple stayed for 2 night and 3days. We have booked a non balcony room and got updation to balcony room while check in. The view from the balcony in the early morning was awesome and a nice place to have a coffee with lovable person. Since we went in the summer Riversteam was not an option due to less water. But the room was neat and tidy and the staffs are so supportive. We had a small electrical issues due to thunder but it was rectified. Generator is available anytime. Family can have a good time in their play area or activity room. Complimentary breakfast had a lot of options and taste can be still improved. But it was ok for us. We have planned our trip for site seeing so we rented up a bike since the room was in rural. But the drive has amazing views from city center. Please be careful while driving in dark night. Quite an adventure. The have cab facilities which is payable. We haven't tried camp fire but seems to be worth. Over all a pleasant stay and had a wonderful time in the room itself. Will surely suggest for both family trip and honeymoon couples. Try to visit from October to February.

Our family of 6 stayed here for 2 nights, and it turned out to be a very pleasant stay. The staff are courteous and helpful, and went out of their way to accommodate us more comfortably. The breakfast is good; parking space is ample. Other options include barbeque, bonfire and board games. The rooms are clean and charming, and offer a stunning view of the plantation. Extremely relaxing ”
The location is very scenic and is in middle of coffee plantation. Resort is out of all the hussle and noise. Only you can hear is the chirping voice of cricket. Rooms pretty decent not a high class good enough for a family to stay. If your kid is more than 5-6yrs then the bed size is bit small. Food is okay, still need to be better in taste but Quantity is more. Games and indoor activities are good. Thanks to ali who was the manager and incharge , helped us with the stay and all required support. Ground staff and overall cleaning of the property is good. Don't miss the breakfast with puttu and curry.
