“Best stay to get away from city chaos ”
We had an absolutely amazing 2-day stay at Three Hills, Coorg! The tent stay was incredible — spacious, beautifully designed, and surrounded by lush green hills. The view from the tent was breathtaking — you can see rolling hills, a serene pond, and an infinity-style pool that adds to the charm of the place. Even during the rain, the staff went out of their way to arrange a campfire for us, which made the evenings cozy and memorable. A big shoutout to Raaj, the trekking instructor, who took us on a beautiful 40-minute trek along with their adorable dog Rashmi. He was extremely caring and attentive, ensuring our safety and even helping us remove leeches — a true professional who made the experience fun and comfortable. The food was delicious, and the hospitality was outstanding — even after the kitchen had closed, the team kindly prepared food for us when we arrived hungry late at night. Such warmth and attentiveness really stood out. The entire property is full of greenery, peace, and fresh air, making it a perfect getaway from city life. You can even spot a small stream flowing through the resort from a waterfall, forming a mini waterfall about 6 feet tall — it’s beautiful and adds to the natural charm of the place. A few useful tips for future visitors: You might spot 2–3 small snails in the bathroom (completely harmless) — just use a tissue or leaf to move them out. There’s 24/7 hot water and an emergency/rechargeable light available until the generator kicks in. The resort is about 7 km inside from the main road, so it’s best to carry essentials before heading in and try to reach before 7 PM, as the inner roads can get dark. One of the shorter routes has too many narrow turns — it’s better to take the turn near the “Thala Cauvery” arch instead of crossing it and going forward; the drive is smoother. You’re allowed to bring your own alcohol and can enjoy it by the campfire, which makes the evenings even more relaxing. Overall, Three Hills Coorg is a perfect blend of comfort, nature, and genuine hospitality.
