Find hotels near Longgang Downtown in Shenzhen, China

Unfortunately we almost immediately realised we had made a mistake choosing Crowne Plaza in the Shenzhen suburb of Longgang as it is a long way from the main city centre, and it is the CBD that we believe is where you need to be. However, if you’re up to spending time on the subway, then it’s not the world’s biggest problem. Shenzhen is a brilliant place with ‘mostly’ clean streets, most people are friendly and helpful (not that too many speak English), the roads, the restaurants are generally speaking terrific. Indeed I recommend people consider this as a destination to consider on your next Chinese trip. At one point we stumbled across a magnificent little arcade offering tiny little shops offering some truly sensational fashions. Unique, different, functional, well priced. But silly me (having decided I would buy a completely new wardrobe while in China) I figured that as I was travelling to Hong Kong I may as well wait. What a mistake that proved to be. Overall, what a great place. Likewise, the Crowne Plaza in Longgang is fantastic (location aside). Frankly, from the minute we arrived to the time we left, just about everything about the place my wife and I liked. This said, we made a small mistake in only booking a Suite, not a Club Suite, the latter offering a host of goodies well worth consideration (we will take this up next time as it includes Happy Hour drinks and food at no charge along with a host of extras). Our suite was very sizable with a separate Lounge, large walk through robe, 2 toilets, twin sinks, massive bath and shower. Frankly, the room was almost beyond reproach. The bed. Oh the bed! Brilliant; soft but not overly so, the pillows were fantastic and the sleep impeccable. The staff was absolutely lovely and went out of their way to assist us in any way they could. I was a little bit reluctant to go to China for my holiday, but anywhere else are rocket high prices. No money, no honey. After 3 days of staying, I can say, this is the best staycation or short chill-out trip from Hong Kong. Castle Hotel can beat any international brand 5-star hotels. My wife and I didn't go out, we dined/entertained/had afternoon tea here, all staff and service were at 5-star standard. I also noticed the amenities/toiletries in guest rooms were branded. Quite impressed. Location is a plus! 5 mins short taxi ride from Ailian 愛蓮 metro station. I can say better location than Mission Hills, newer than Mission Hills. Breakfast, buffet style, one of the most hearty buffet I had in China. Plenty of choices. Finally, the balcony bathtub is really really a highlight! AND the by-request bathtub cleaning service makes guest satisfied with the hygiene. Good work! Will recommend to everyone! PS. other hotel guests are nice too! I have never experienced anything ugly/rude/crazy things that HongKongers suffered. This is a real plus that the hotel couldn't control. :D

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is very nice inside and out. Rooms and lobby are very clean. Also, the food is pretty good. They provide you with a free buffet breakfast every night you stay. The receptionists don't speak much English. The only drawback to the hotel is that there is not much to do nearby. There is a Ktv next door but not much else, as far as shopping malls or supermarkets go.

My daughter attended a swimming training programme with 20 odd kids at a nearby swimming pool. They stayed here and I therefore stayed here. Not much entertainment is located in the vicinity. The pool inside hotel is small and always occupied by other training groups. Gym is big but no free water n towel is provided. Breakfast is satisfactory. Room is big n clean. Wifi is ok. A good hotel.

I always stay at the Rivan when in Longgang on business. Longgang being what it is, another of those innumerable industrial cities that make up the megopolis of Shenzhen, I can think of no reason other than business for someone to be staying there. The standard rooms are reasonably sized, comfortable and clean, if a little dull, decor wise. The breakfast buffet is pretty good, large selection. Dinner buffet also, with plenty of good dishes but nothing outstanding. The staff are the best part of the hotel. They generally speak good English, are genuinely friendly and eager to please.

Great location with a lot of local restaurant around and very tasty. Hotel staffs are very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the room does not have saver and refrigerator. Room cleaning always open my window after cleaned my room because, no A/C when room card has not inserted. Plus, no laundry service... Overall, this is a great hotel. Just the room needs to be improve.

the hotel itself is very nice, especially considering the cheap price.the room comfort is very high with a classy design. the receptionists are friendly and speak english. however, the location leaves much to be desired-really far from ...everything, even from the subway(you need to use a cab to reach the nearest station. and from that station it takes an hour to reach the center of the city). also, the air-conditioning in the room only works in cool mode, no heat, that's why it was really cold in the room

The room is clean and spacious. The bed is comfortable but the TV is outdated. Internet speed too slow and should be improved. Location is convenient and the staffs are friendly and helpful. I like their services especially for the direct transportation from the hotel to Hong Kong International airport at reasonable price. Entertainment not sure due to insufficient time to explore.

This hotel was probably the cheapest hotel for its quality offering. It is a truly best value hotel. If you go in, you will think it is an at least 4 star hotel. However, the price is more like a 2 star hotel! Apart from the luxurious Italian Decoration, the hotel is very clean and has a very comfortable pillow! Agoda truly got the best deal for this hotel! What you pay for this hotel through Agoda is what a member of this hotel's chain would normally get!! So you pay member price! and BEST OF ALL, it is located right next to an MRT station, within 3 minute walking distance.

What a dump! First of all, forget about their claim to have English speaking staff - no way! Also, look carefully at the other hotel features for the one that says "nightclub." That's just what you need at midnight, as you're in room trying to sleep, right - the incessant thump, thump, thump of the bass and drums vibrating through the building from their own in-house disco. What a genius idea. Also, the place has a VERY low standard of cleanliness and quality throughout. The only thing it has going for it is its closeness to a metro station. Otherwise, avoid at all costs. I hated this place.

In general is good. Those people in the front desk recognized me. When the day I arrived, not even walk to the front desk, I heard those girls talking loudly saying "719, 719" already. This was because I reserved the room 719 and they also remembered me. Even the housekeeper also remembered me and say hello to me and sent her best regards to me as well. So overall is ok.
