Luohu District hotels & places to stay

Best Western Felicity Hotel.. It's recommended. For those who visit shenzhen to shop at Luohu, it's a good choice. There's Shangrila which is closer to Luohu shopping complex, but price is much more expensive. From Best Western, it's about 10 minutes walk to the shopping complex. And there are convenient stores next to the hotel. Also, there's a good fast food restaurant close to the hotel. Cake shop offers special price after 6 pm. check it out :) All in all, it's worth the price.. I'd say it's excellent.

I do not have anything to complain about this hotel, location is great; staff was incredibly helpful, polite and courteous especially Ms. Rebecca from the front desk; she went out of her way to help my family to purchased tickets for bullet train from Shenzen to Guangzhou. On the day of our departure, she came to the hotel in the morning (her shift start at 4pm) and again assisted me with the printing and colletion of the train tickets at the ticket office in Luohu. She even paid for my MTR ticket from Laojie (next to the hotel) to Luohu and declined any offer of tips from me. She was very helpful even before we arrived Shenzen, when I was still in Malysia and called in to the hotel to ask for direction from Shenzen Airport, she told me to add her of wechat and we communicated thoroughly from that moment onwards. Kudos to her! the hotel is clean, bed is comfortable and the Deluxe family room we stayed in is HUGE!

The hotel is a fairly long walk from the nearest MRT (Guo Mao), but there's lots to see along the way. They do not serve breakfast with the room, but no worries, there are loads of good places to eat in the side streets nearby. For those who want familiar food, there's also a 24 hour McDonald's across the street. Dongmen's main shopping is about a 20 minute walk away. Taxi to Luohu train station is also quite quick and cheap. We had 3 people in the 2 bed room, the cot provided was small and had a very flimsy mattress, but at least was not squeaky or unstable.

The Hyatt Place Dongmen has become my new "must stay" value hotel in Shenzhen. Located at the junction of two MTR lines, you can easily get anywhere in Shenzhen without using a taxi. Only 10 minutes to Luohu border crossing. Dongmen walking street is right across the street as is an outdoor entertainment garden. Lots of great restaurants within two blocks. Staff is always polite and professional. Four stars is accurate, but much better than most "five star" China hotels. Room is clean, bed is comfortable, bathroom is big, wide selection of international programs on tv. Guest room attendants are always friendly and helpful. For late departure, front desk will check your bags. Breakfast is fantastic! Large selection of most everything, including Western, Chinese, and Dim Sum. Custom omelet and egg station and 3 kinds of fresh juices with custom expresso machine. Fast table cleaning service also. Great value for the money.

Took metro line 11, changed to line 3 at Futian to arrive at Laojie station. Exit C will bring you to the DDM mall with many shops and really nice comrades who are quite a pleasant lot (no hard selling and no attempts to fleece you). Guests should walk to the other end of the mall, exit out and the hotel is in the next building - the one with the plastic surgery hospital and simson signage brightly lighted up. Room was comfortable, good size, smoke free, with comfy bed and pillows, a desk and sofa. Aircond nice and cold. TV channels are in Chinese except for one in Eng (the CGTN). The impression we have is that all the staff here (from front desk, security, housekeeping, etc.) are all very pleasant. In particular, staff during breakfast were really nice and cheerful – especially the hardworking guy in white long sleeve shirt who never fail to greet guests warmly. Breakfast, I am sorry to say, is likely to be inadequate for carnivores but otherwise quite fine for fellow comrades. Gd!

I am a frequent visitor of Shenzhen, so some time ago I have selected this hotel and now using only it in my trips there:) Usually I am going to the Shenzhen via HongKong (MTR) - so Luohu is the best nearest point with fine hotels and good night life. Grand Hyatt is a new modern hotel, modern , clean, good designed rooms. Good pool is outdoors but very good located on the 3rd floor roof. Now I could admit even the pool has a WiFi. So the hotel fixes issues :) The WiFi works good in all hotel area and it is free. It is very useful in case you have forgbuy a local SIM card and need to use Google translate to show the destination to the taxi drivers 1 from 100 could speak english - so Goofgle helps good :) Some mess is with the elevators - but it is just need to remember nearest to the entrance to the pool/spa goes 1-3 floors. Then to the left of them is 2 rows of the "guest rooms" elevators - so I am usually go 1-3 then change to 3-my room floor. It is absolutely not needed to go floor 33 then change the elevator - but you need to carry your room key - guest floors are restricted:) Food is excelent at the hotel - but I have no big chance to eat there except the breakfasts. Business.. There is a biggest shopping mall right installed on the side of the hotel - MixC. Also there are lot of glamour shops around, good places to meet people etc. The hotel's stuff is very friendly, yes - sometimes there is some missunderstanding like daily waking up at 9 am (Housekeeping .. ) but they are learning fast. The rooms are treated good. Always clean, my clothes are placed on the holders etc. I hope to visit this hotel more and more. I like it.

Use to be very good service, but recently service seem to be getting worst in the front desk. Opposite the hotel is a very famous shopping destination(dongmen). surrounding the hotel do have many small Japanese type of bars. and restaurant is just around every corner. It is also very convenient to get a taxi from the hotel. The hotel is 5min from the Luohu train station.

I have been staying at this hotel each time I visit Shenzhen for 5 years. It's very well located in Luohu District, only 5 min. walking distance from the boarder crossing with Hong Kong and from the railway station. There are many shops and service facilities in the neighborhood. Metro buses and taxis are always available. Service of the front desk is professional and friendly. Hotel is clean and rooms are of a very comfortable size. Hotel restaurants are of good quality but a choice of other restaurants can be found within close proximity, too. This hotel can be recommended for business people and tourists.

I always stay in Kaili when visiting Shenzhen. It's in the center of major shopping/dining area in Luohu. The lobby may not look too lavish, but the room is very nicely furnished, a solid 4-star quality room. Comfortable bed, effective air-cond, abundant wi-fi hot spots (at least on 8th floor which are non-smoking). Sauna in the hotel is not the best bang-for-the buck in Luohu, there are better (more expensive) and there are cheaper competitors all around.

One of the best hotels located in the city centre. It is within walking distance to a high-end shopping centre as well as the famous Dongmen Shopping street. Also near to a bar named as SOHO (if I remembered the name correctly). Check-in service was excellent and I was lucky to be upgraded to Deluxe room. Welcoming fruits were provided as well as bed-down service together with 2 complimentary drink voucher at the hotel bar. Hotel staff are very helpful and well verse with the surrounding scene. Distance to Luohu station is just a 5-mins cab ride barring bad traffic. So, overall I'm very satisfied with the services and will not hesitate to return again on my next trip.

This is one of the very best hotel that I have stayed in China so far. It is only 2 months old and the ambience along the passage way plus in the room was fantastic. Big room with modern design and comfortable bed. The hotel is situated along Luohu(Dongmen). There is a big shopping center just opposite the hotel.Staffs are courteous and helpful.The restaurant on the 20th floor offers very good buffet.Remember to book in advance if you wants to eat.I hope the price and cleanliness will maintain after gaining popularity.

The bedroom is really big, and the bathroom is quite nice. I usually stay at a nearby 5* hotel when I go to shenzhen, and I think the bathrooms there are way nicer, but this room is quite a bit bigger. The view is miraculous if it's not a cloudy/foggy day. The restaurants and bars are top notch, I didn't try room service this time. Staff is very courteous and helpful, sometimes maybe a little too helpful, as they will follow you around to push elevator buttons etc. Right on the MTR at Grand Theatre station (2RMB from LuoHu/LoWu station). Worth a stay if money is no object.

the hotel is truly awesome for business and holiday travellers! location is strategic to all prime locations in the central area of shenzhen. very ideal for businessmen for businesses convenience as it is located within the central business district and rooms are great and cosy especially after a long and exhausting day! great value for money for this class of hotel with great cleanliness and location. wide varieties of food availability for oriental travellers and also for western travellers who would like to try reasonably cheap and variety of oriental food! and there are several restaurant serving muslim travellers! this hotel is great and awesome

With on-going hotel renovations outside of the hotel. It may not look very appealing at first but when you get inside the room, it's like you're in a different place. The rooms are newly renovated and looks very cozy for the price that I paid. From the kingsize bed, soft pillows, bedcovers, bathroom fixtures and the granite that they installed in the rooms are very tasteful. The rooms are not so big yet not so small. Very accessible to Xianxicun Metro station (exit A). From the station, just go straight at about 200 meters. The downside in our experience was the breakfast. We stayed there for 4 days and they only serve Oriental dishes. Noodles (2 kinds, the flat and the round) are served everyday (and the hard boiled eggs too). There should have been a variation and should include American breakfast too.

actually my original booking on another hotel, due to something happen that a long story, agoda call center is helpful and assigned south union hotel for us, that's great but sometime some china and budget hotel may be cant receive the reservation form from agoda if you have confirmation before 1day or same day, just be reminder, need pay attention on there if you are come form oversea...

It was nice and good experience with the hotel. they need to improve at 1. WIFI connectivity which was missing where Ethernet connection was there. 2. room size was not good consider to twin bad and the price at which room booked. So at $70-80, room must be big size. 3. they need more local people who can speak in English will add favor to hotel. 4. International break fast available on demand where it should be actually default.

The Shanshui Trends Luohu Hotel, Shenzhen is in an excellent location for shopping and exploring Shenzehen and beyond. It is conveniently located near the railway station, the bus station and several shopping centers. The hotel itself is tastefully decorated in a modern, trendy style. The rooms are clean and well presented. The Shanshui Trends Luohu Hotel has many of the extras you would expect from a hotel with a higher star rating (bathrobes, slippers, etc.) I would highly recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel is considerably good. Many shopping malls are of walking distance and it is about 15 minutes walk to the famous shopping district called "Dong Men". Many eateries around the hotel as well, so meals there is not a problem. There is a police station next to the hotel thus the area is pretty safe. Overall the hotel is value for money, with comfortable room and many TV channels to watch. The only drawback is that there is no bathtub for the standard room.
