"I enjoyed my stay here with the beds fairly comfortable and the room was clean. The service at the hotel was exceptional with a swift checkin process and ability to book other services such as a day tour etc. The TV did not have English subtitles so you are stuck with one European English Channel. I dislike the encouragement of not washing towels, this is dirty. I also don’t know why European fridges don’t get cold - items were fairly lukewarm. The underground, bus and train line were all within a 3 minute walk. The airport bus goes directly to hotel (150m) for only $2.60 euro taking you 30 mins to reach. I would stay here again. "

"I really enjoy staying with the Student Hotel Berlin. The interior deco is so lively. Room is spacious. And super clean. The staff, Amy, who checked in for us is super friendly. Hotel offered coin to get free welcome drink from the bar and free water in the paper box. Really love how they care about reducing plastic bottles. Walking to Alexanderplatz is about 10 mins. Bus stop is just right in front of the hotel. "

"I booked a 10-bed dorm, but for some reason, got placed in an 8-bed dorm, which I didn't mind. The room I had was a corner room, extremely spacious, with large windows that opened out to the main intersection, so it had nice views of the city. Security was tight, which meant that you had to use your swipe card to access the all areas (i.e. the elevator, the room area, and then the actual dorm room). This might be annoying for some, but thought it would be better to be safe than sorry. Strangely, there was only one sink in the toilet, which is meant to service half the floor. So if it is being used, you would have to go to the other toilet on the other side of the floor (you would need to swipe again to get there). I was lucky to get a bottom bunk bed, so it was comfortable for me. Make sure you bring a padlock so you can secure the small locker next to the bed. There are also plenty of hooks and hangers for you to hang your coats, towels, etc. Towels are available for rent for 1euro. Overall, I would recommend this place due to the ample space and cleanliness of the room."

"the hotel is perfectly located if you want to explore East Berlin, both close to the Museum Insel, Alexander Platz, Prenzlayer berg, the shopping, bars, galleries and restaurants in Mitte, and to public transport to all over town. The hotel modern and classy, tastefully decorated. I loved that they have a fireplace in their lounge. Great breakfast. Only complaint is that the double bed contained two separate mattrasses, while we would have prefered a double mattrass too. "

"I had a great overall experience and stay at this hotel. No complaints, only compliments. I didn't eat/dine there so I'm not in a position to rate that unfortunately. Also, this is not a criticism but I would only question why my queen size bed had two single blankets, instead of one blanket that fit the whole bed. I also found this at another 4-star hotel I stayed at in Nuremberg, so I can only assume this is the norm within German hotels. Other than that, I am very happy to recommend this hotel to other travellers - whether for business or pleasure. This hotel ticks all the boxes and I would gladly stay there again without any hesitation whatsoever. No need to look for another hotel next time I'm in Berlin. I'll be heading straight to the Winters Hotel Berlin Mitte - Am Gendarmenmarkt. Thank you for a very pleasant stay. Top score goes to the exemplary staff who were very hospitable, pleasant and demonstrated initiative at every juncture."
