Service can be improved”
Ventilation and air flow in room wasn't good. Cold enough if you stand in front of the aircon but get quite stuffy if you are not. Service can be improved - someone knocked on my door in the morning and woke me up from my sleep just to ask me if i have laundry -.- (probably mixed me up with the previous guest), wanted to charge me for getting additional mineral water, kept looking into my room when i said there is no need to clean my room. Only good thing is probably the location - lots of food nearby and within 10min walk from the subway

Cigarette smoke smell permeated the whole hotel and room. Room was old and not well maintained - especially the baths and toilets. There were only two watchable English channels (CNN and HBO). There were more than half a dozen of us and the check in staff was not helpful. ABOVE ALL the internet connection sucked big time!

My stay in Novotel Wuhan Xinhua was great! I found the hotel room to be nice furnished, very clean and comfortable! The check-in and check-out was smooth. The staff were able to respond well to my queries. I was impressed with their policy of non-smoking floors. It makes the room feel even more comfortable! I will definitely stay in Novotel Wuhan Xinhua and recommend it to all travellers when I visit the city again!

Superb location, fantastic rooms”
We took the train down from Guang Zhou to Wuhan, wanting to experience the Bullet train system in China. The Novotel happened to have a promotional price on Agoda and we just grabbed it. The rooms were extremely comfortable and clean. The location was pretty central to all the attractions that we wanted to go for, and there was a huge shopping strip right next to it. Overall very satisfied with our stay!

Nice hotel, friendly staff”
This was a good hotel, the staff were very attentive and helpful. The concierge desk always happy to direct to where I want to go. Wuhan is a big city so not really sure what you could call centrally located, but was close to many local restaurants, and a few western bars.

Didn't quite feel like a 5-star-hotel”
The price of a bit over RMB 400 was good. However, the room was not entirely convincing considering it's a 5-star hotel. First, our room was located below a kind of overhang/bridge of the building so that we couldn't see much from our window, except the concrete underside of said overhang and an alley. The top third of the window view was actually blocked by a concrete bar in maybe only 2 meters distance. That made the room feel a bit depressing. Second, there was a very loud whistling sound after flushing the toilet, loud enough to wake the other person up. Apart from that, the room was as one could expect, although not that new anymore.

Good stay, friendly staff”
A very comfortable and pleasant stay. Though as with all Novotels, all the boxes for five star are ticked, but they don't go the extra mile to make your experience truly luxurious. The service was excellent and all the staff are happy to do anything to help you make the most of your stay in Wuhan. Standard rooms were a little small but comfortable and clean.

Good hotel but a few strange quirks”
I wasn't here long but everything about the hotel was absolutely fine. Breakfast was good, not fantastic but perfectly adequate. I have one issue with the hotel in that a Executive room does not come with lounge access. In this hotel, they are called premier rooms. This needs to be made clearer by Agoda and hotels. Also, I had a two story room which was good in some respects but you do find you are always going up and down the stairs.

For 80 bucks, with tax, this was a good deal. I was traveling with a friend and shared the cost -- so at 40 it is a steal. It gives you a little respite from the difficulties of traveling in China -- i.e. dirty toilets.

Was a business traveller. Was thrilled with location - close to eateries and shopping center. Some of the staff were very friendly and helpful for someone who's not strong in the Chinese language, some others I felt could really benefit from fundamental customer service principles like a smile. I thought the pricing was slightly on the high side relatively.

Greatly Located Nearby Food Street”
Location is excellent that you can easily find local food and there're several convenient stores including Lawson. Hotel is little old but condition is still alright. The only negative point is that the hotel is located at the busy street with heavy traffic particularly during rush hour in the morning.

The hotel is reasonably priced given the fact that many facilities (including the swimming pool) are not very new. The one redeeming feature is its location as there are many popular restaurants nearby.
