I was a solo traveller and stayed in Pfefferbett Hostel for 4 nights in the 4-bed dorm, and I'd like to share my experience. First, the staff was very nice and friendly. There is a bar inside the hostel, and you can have different types of drinks there at a reasonable price. Their playlist was amazing, and I appreciate their music taste. Second, the room was large and clean with large pillows and PVC windows that definitely can affect your sleep quality. There were digital lockers inside the room, and I could easily open and lock them with my badge, which was very nice. The bathroom was inside the room, and it was so clean and nice too. Third, this hostel is located in a perfect place in Berlin. You can access public transport very easily, and the neighbourhood is a safe and nice area. Finally, I HIGHLY recommend this hostel, especially if you're a solo traveller.

Great hostel ”
This was my first solo travel and hostel. I must say the tidiest and clean hostel. The staff was great and helpful. Don't worry about the bad reviews about their attitude its just the German behaviour. The doms was big and clean. The lockers are great as your key to your dom open the lockers so no need for a padlock. The showers was strong and spacious. The toilet was clean. Very easy to get to the hostel by train from the aiprot under 35 mins or less. Definitely worth a try and I'll be back again Berlin you've been fabulous!!

Really great hostel even for adults ”
We booked the private double bedroom. The room was nice and clean with everything basic that you need. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Cool chil out area with fireplace in the reception. Very affordable and tasty food, especially the breakfast buffet. The only thing that could've been better was the beds. Very hard beds, kind of like sleeping on a ironing board. So not much sleep but hey, who needs sleep when you're in Berlin :) All in all a great hostel!

A very nice stay I had, as always. The people are trying to genuinely help, the place is sparkling clean, it is quiet and just two stops from Alexander platz. In other words very good value for money combined with a very plesant atmosphere.

A quality of hotel for a hostel price”
We spent 3 nights in Pfefferbett in a double room. It was very clean, free towels and shampoo, crafted Pfefferbett beer at the reception, in a walking distance from A-platz and for a very reasonable price. What you can ask more?

To be honest didn’t have the time to enjoy this hostel as much as I could because I could only book one night, or else I would have booked another! Friendly service, great vibes, clean rooms and bathrooms. They even let me leave my luggage pretty well all day when I checked out without any hassle. The location is awesome, 15 min walk down to central area or 15 min north to an even cooler area with cool cafes, oldest beer garden in berlin, trees overlooking all the streets! I loved this area. Such a good spot, value for money, that’s probably why they are always booked!

My stay here was great! The people working here are so very friendly and helpful with everything. Evenings are great for gatherings of people traveling the world and met some wonderful people. I've stayed in 5 star hotels that weren't as nice. Definitely the best place to stay in Berlin!

Great hostel near to Alexanderplatz and near metro station, the only issue was with the wifi. It worked only in the lobby, maybe it was an exception. Near there is REWE grocery store and the district is very nice. Might be a little hard to find, but if you see Pfefferbet Theater go there cause this hostel is a part of the Pfefferbet square or whatever the place is called

Super cool hostel in perfect area”
I was happy with everything all around. The little fire place in the lobby with a billiard table is a big plus of course. the rooms are stylish in the old style of the building! showers are perfect temperature and pressure!

for me the helpful, friendly and capable staff was the thing that stood out for me the most. I only was there for one night and only the night but it was totally worth it. located near Alexanderplatz in Pankow the hostel is in the middle of many stores, Cafés and restaurants. the kulturbrauerei is in a 10 minute walking distance and you can choose if you want to stay in for breakfast [which looked delicious BTW] or go out and try one of the many little coffee bars nearby. the u2 is right around the corner und you are able to get where you want to be pretty fast

Location is excellent only 2 minutes walk to U Bahn. Easier to find than some people make out. Very comfortable bed. Wifi signal was non existent on floor 1 and other travellers had similar experiences in my room. Loud music playing regularly which means not the best sleep conditions.
