Prenzlauer Berg hotels & places to stay

This hostel is really good.I stayed in a single room for 5 nights or so.The room was big and clean and had a nicely fit bathroom.It was warm because of the big heater as well.I liked it a lot.There were free towels and other toiletries which was very convenient .The location of hostel is great, it's in a safe, multi racial and fairly quiet part of prenzluer berg right next to the S bahn 9 and the tram.It is 10 minutes away from the centre and most attractions.The only thing I found a bit dampening was the staff.They were offish and seemed a bit rude at times, but I think this is how things are in Berlin.I saw this behavior in a lot of places I went to.Aside from this, the place is pretty awesome.I really liked it a lot. (By the way for people of color, (I am black) prezluer berg is a safe place)

For those that want to stay in a neighborhood away from the touristy areas and right next to a main public transit spot, this hotel is perfect. There is a U2 stop across the street for easy access to the city, and there are a couple M lines (street car lines) a half block down to get you to the East Gallery, Berlin Wall Memorial and other areas. The Welcome Card provides unlimited rides. The rooms are set back from the busy street separated by a couple courtyards, so we didn't have any noise issues. There are also plenty of good cafes to grab breakfast (much cheaper than paying for it at the hotel), and great dinner spots within walking distance. There is also a large recommended beer garden a short walk away, which we didn't go to due our visit being during a colder time of year. Although we barely used it, it was also nice to have the mini fridge and microwave as part of the mini kitchenette.

What this hotel may lack in anything is made up for by their incredible staff. Daniel and Filipa are superior in everything they do. They begin with wonderful smiles, and send you on your way with everything you need to know about where you are going, and how to get there. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Jurine. Our room was sparse, but very quiet and comfortable. The breakfast each day is plentiful with a nice selection of meats, cheeses, breads, and much more. They have a wonderful coffee machine that makes all types of delicious coffees, or instead, you are welcome to a pot of coffee at your table. The location makes it easy to navigate the city due to its close proximity to the U-Bahn station. We enjoyed several good restaurants in the area. Our favorite was the Indian Restaurant, Aapka, which was just a couple of blocks away from the hotel. Hotel Jurine is a great hotel in a pleasant and interesting neighborhood.

This hostel is one of best in Berlin with amazing staff. Shame that its mostly fully booked now :-) Recently house keeping is not doing as good and one can see dirty floor every now and then. Moreover, teen age groups of different schools staying at hostel ruined 4-5 nights sleep. No rules were enforced on them :-( May be I will take sometime to go back to this hostel now.

Having stayed here for 5 nights, what I can say is that the hotel staff is fantastic. The breakfast was tasty, and the rooms were nice. In particular, I enjoyed that the room had a Chromecast connected to the TV. Location wise, the hotel was close to the urban rail and a tramway that lead straight to the city centre. This also meant that the hotel was close to a notable intersection, so that sirens were heard during the night. Nevertheless, I would stay here again.

This facility was, by 1,000 times, the best place I stayed on my 2 week trip to Germany and Ireland! The staff was super friendly and helpful, answered all of my questions, and gave me great recommendations!! The 1st floor room had wifi, it's own common room, lockers, and separate restrooms and showers. There's plenty of light and electical sockets, but bring an extention cord. And my regular adapter worked, even though the sockets are receded a little into the wall. The breakfast costs and Is just bread, cheese, cereal and such...but there's a nice little grocery store really close so you can cook your own. No microwave or coffee maker, but you can make tea. Super super great place!!!!! I'll definitely stay again if I return to Berlin!

I had a nice stay at this hotel. The front desk staff were friendly and speak very good English. My room was clean and comfortable. Hotel location is near Alexanderplatz, a bit far from the attractions if you are a tourist. I had to change some conditions of room booking and it was done very easily. Breakfast was good at 10 euro. I strongly recommend this hotel. Make sure to book Ibis Berlin Mitte because there is a chain of Ibis hotel in Berlin.

I want to start by noting how friendly and responsive all of their staff is. I had some unexpected travel issues, and they were extremely helpful. In terms of the hotel itself: it was not as nice as I expected. The rooms were a bit funky, more towards tacky than hip design (and Asian women’s faces as wallpaper is flat out inappropriate.) The first room I was in was small and dark and didn’t have working WiFi, and the room they moved me too didn’t have its own bathroom... then the maid apparently forgot to clean my room the entire time I was there (As soon as I mentioned it, it was remedied.) I’m also decently sure there is no elevator, which meant for a lot of lugging of luggage up and down stairs. This would not work for many travelers, and thus is worthy of note. Lastly, the reception is closed from roughly 8pm-7am, which caused issues on both ends of my trip. The little cafe next door has delicious tea and breakfast. So, good but with some notable issues.

Love this hotel - the moment we walked to our room, we felt so at home. The room is clean as well as the toilets. I think there are 7 rooms with 3 shared toilets. There is a small kitchen where we can boil water and make our own coffee or tea. Please note that I have rated 5 for dining & food because there are many restaurants nearby. The train station is also nearby. Lovely & friendly staff - thanks to Linda, who gave us very clear directions on how to reach the hotel. Would definitely book & stay again at Pension Absolut. Highly recommending to people who wish to visit Berlin and stay in a comfortable place.

The facility is new, clean, and up-to-date. Full kitchenette, including fridge and dishwasher. Free morning coffee service in lobby. Grocery store located around the corner. Self-serve laundry available. Adjacent to the ring S-bahn that goes around the entire city, so it is very convenient to get anywhere from the SMARTment. Buy an all-day or multi-day transit pass, and travel is a breeze. Takes about 20 minutes to get to most places in the city, although it takes two transfers to get to SMARTment from central train station. (But that is true for almost any place you might stay.) Very quiet. I never heard the S-bahn trains go by, even though my room faced the tracks. Good wifi in room. Staff with excellent English skills. I would definitely stay here in the future.

The hotel is very well run ,the staff were very helpful, they upgraded our room and gave us free access to the executive lounge ,after they discovered I am being treated for cancer ,which I thought was very thoughtful, the sky lounge is also excellent where you can see all over Berlin and enjoy a cocktail or 3 ,The tram/ train station is situated right outside the Hotel and you can access all over Berlin very easily, we got a 3 day travel pass for €32 each which was also great value ,the only negative I can give the hotel is the TV had 2 English speaking ones on and they are CNN and one that was current affairs, both not really great watching so maybe a thought in future 🙂,all in all a 5 star hotel and facilities, excellent staff ,great breakfast,and location great also (15 mins to centre of Berlin ).

Great apartment in a fantastic location. Totally set up with small kitchen and plenty of cutlery, I could have happily lived in the Apartment im Arnimkiez for a year. Toasty central heating, a very comfy queen bed and a hot, hot high-pressure shower. Easy 10min stroll down to Shoenhouser Allee station on the S and U bahn, and also handy to the trams, so getting around was a breeze. Great supermarket about 5min away. Can't wait to go back!

I stayed at the Rubin apartment which is on the 2nd floor of a beautiful building. Their we're 3 of us staying here, 2 guys and a girl all between the Ages of 27-38. The double room is huge with plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom is also large with the option of a shower or bath. Instant hot water which never ran out even after 3 in a row. The kitchen and living area is a great space and we all enjoyed cooking up a little breakfast and sharing it around the breakfast bar. The apartment has a fantastic cafe downstairs that also acts as a reception. you you have to try the tea and cakes. Super friendly staff also. The subway is a 5-10min walk and takes you right into the tourist area in 5mins. Couldn't ask for much more really. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely return.
