“Remodeling”
The building's exterior was old, but the rooms seemed newly remodeled. The bedding, bed, refrigerator, and bathroom were all completely new. I especially liked the bathroom so much that even though I usually don’t take baths outside, I took a half-body bath for two days. I had brought bug spray because I heard there might be bedbugs in Japanese hotels these days, but I didn’t use it. Everything was new, haha. I made a reservation for three people, and they gave me a connecting room, so I ended up using two rooms and it was great to have more space. They gave me a twin room connected to a one-bedroom room, with the twin room having a separate bathroom, which was nice. The one-bedroom room had a narrow bathroom, so it might be difficult for Westerners or anyone over 170 cm to use. Also, it seemed there were no windows. The heating system was installed in the ceiling and there was an air purifier and humidifier, but I didn’t know how to use them, so I didn’t. The location was also great, just a two-minute walk from Sakae Station, and there was a Seven-Eleven and a pharmacy in front, as well as Sakae’s downtown area just across the street. They responded quickly to my emails, and everything was great. The only downside was that there was a strong smell of cement, possibly because it was right after remodeling. The smell was noticeable from the lobby and quite strong in the room, which gave me a bit of a headache. If the smell goes away, I would like to stay again next time. They also took care of my bags, the bed was comfortable and clean, and I was very satisfied. Thank you.
