Very good”
There’s a MIX bag of reviews from past guests from v good to very bad. We think we know why. There must be different types of rooms offered by this hotel even though the booking type show the same class/ category, the staff allocate different rooms in different parts of the hotel probably depending on what’s available (housekeeping schedule, your check in hour etc). When we got there around 11pm on new year’s eve, the front desk told us all the first floor were taken and he apologized he has to send us upstairs. We quickly learnt there is no elevator to the second floor. The hotel has a long extension wing and we had to walk all the way from lobby to the opposite end of the building- which may suggest this is either the old or new wing - but that may explain why the reviews varied depending on which rooms guests got - newer or older ones. Good: 1. It’s a corner room so we have nice views / windows bordering both sides of the room. When the blinds are drawn it’s nice we could look out. We face the airport hangar across the street on one side and the hotel next door on the adjacent side. Unfortunately, the building is too low to see fireworks that were blasting off not far from us. I believe we got room #218. 2. Bathroom (sink and shower) was very small (two persons cannot stand inside at the same time) but clean. No mold. Hairdryer and dove toiletries. 3. Mattresses were comfy, sheets clean 4. quiet 5. parking available 6. Front staff Adrian was friendly 7. The vending machines have a huge variety of snacks from cup noodles to sandwiches and granola bars. Separately, next to the 3 microwaves (of which 2 were not working), there is a fancy coffee machine / dispenser. Prices were not cheap but they were reasonable, like at 7-11. 8. Close to airport Not good : 1. Small beds: Our room had 2 Full size beds. We read everywhere it’s king beds. We stated on our reservation 4 adults. Still, we were given not queen , not king, but full size beds. It was a tight squeeze for us. Apparently, for the same rate, some guests get 2 kings- there’s no telling what you are gonna get? 2. Small room: The beds took up almost all the space in the tiny room. If you are standing at the end of the bed, it’s a few feet to the wall. After putting in the luggages, you can barely walk in front of the beds. There is no space to place all our luggages so we have to put two right at the entrance, in the walkway where the door opens. It’s terrible. This room should only have accommodated 1 bed, not two beds in it to make it work right. 3. No microwave or fridge in the room . We had to heat up some food so had to walk a long ways to the microwaves in the hallway downstairs. 4. At $155/Night inclusive taxes, it’s a bit too much for this room but it’s New Year’s Eve so well.however, breakfasts should be included, instead of charging $12 extra per person. That would be $48 + tax if I had paid for breakfast for the whole family. This would make this room > $200. At that price point , you might as well go to a Marriott/ Hyatt . Someone had done this math to take advantage of guests. So, this makes the room bad value. 5. Pool was inviting but COLD. What good is a pool if you can’t swim in it? We rented a car so we didn’t need to wait for the shuttle . We did find out the shuttle to the port was not working so only option was Uber for those without their own vehicle. Something for those who need to get there to plan / check ahead. Their shuttle is usually $15/ person. We will consider staying here again if breakfasts are included and would def request the king beds in future.

Stayed before going and after cruise. Bathroom floor when we came back looked liked it hadn't been cleaned. Several spots. Rooms are older and small. Does have large tiled showers. You will need to pay $12 a person if you want a standard hotel breakfast. Pool was being remodeled so that area is unavailable for use. We did enjoy a good dinner at the bar and grill attached to the hotel. Staff were always friendly and helpful.

Clean accessible hotel with free airport shuttle. Did not have the breakfast which is about 12 US and the hotel accepts early and late checkout for a fee of about 22 us. Whilst I believe that a complimentary late check would be nice if you already paid for an early check in , the volume of visitors makes this an ideal revenue earner. I would stay again as the room was clean and buses run in front of the hotel. point to note the equipment in the hotel gym does not work and this should be ammended on the website for true accuracy of facilities

Bad shuttle service”
Although room and staff were all fine at the hotel, we only booked it so that we could use the shuttle service from the airport, since we were staying overnight only. However, the shuttle driver passed us as quickly as a rocket when we were waiting at the pick-up point, we couldn't even wave at him because when we realized it was the hotel's van he was already hundreds of meters away from us and didn't even look at the pick-up point that was packed with passengers. As we had read that this hotel's shuttle, differently from other hotels, takes one hour to come back at the airport and pick-up the next passengers, we had to pay for a private service to get to the hotel. Of that's not a problem to you and you need to stay close to MIA airport, this place might be a good option. Otherwise, if you're willing to use the shuttle service, I would recommend to look at other alternatives, since you might pay the difference of the room rate to the private transportation service that you will probably need because the shuttle service is really bad at arrival.
