My husband and I stayed at Ramada for our first night of our 2 weeks tour in India. The hotel location is slightly away from the main town which was fine as we had a car. The room had a nice décor and clean. Good size and modern bathroom - just a slight leak with the shower but this should be easily fixed. We had our evening meal at the main restaurant near the pool (not on the ground floor). Very good value after guest discount. The biryani we had was the best out of all the ones we had in India. The staff were excellent, friendly, efficient. All in all, a very good base to visit the Taj Mahal and the fort.

Needed to ask for bath robe, bathroom slippers, sewing needle kit and other basic things”
Booked 4 rooms for 9 guests. Everything was as expected, neat and clean and service was prompt. BUT, why would we want to have a need to ask for the basic things required in a room when it’s a 5 star hotel? We expect the hotel rooms to have the bathrobes, slippers, sewing kit as items needed without asking. Also, they need to mention which rooms have bathtubs only and which has standing bathrooms. We had to exchange the rooms later with our old guests who cannot get into the bathtubs on their own, which was an inconvenience.

Outside the town and closer to highway”
Went to Agra to visit Taj Mahal and the Agra fort. Hotel is good, bit away from the town, not sure if it would have made a difference if we stayed closer to town, walking in India is an experience ????. Breakfast was good, mostly vegetarian. Nice pool but very cold (didn't use). Communicating with staff in english is a problem for UK company. There are other Indian citizens in Agra who speak lot better english. Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort are unique buildings, everyone should see it.

The stay was okay. At the time of checkin, I had to spend almost an hour to look for rooms that were not having foul smell. I was travelling with my family and had booked 3 rooms. After seeing almost 12+ rooms, I was able to find 2 rooms that were fine and had to manage in 3rd room with air perfume. After driving 500 kms and then spending an hour to check in is really tiresome. Advise to management: Please take a look at the rooms. After travelling for long, people expect that the rooms are ready whenever we checkin. This was the reason I called an hour before reaching to keep the rooms ready.

Weakest point is house keeping, bad dustbins,inadequate bathroom usables, non working plug points and faulty iron etc.
