Lam Dong Province hotels & places to stay

We stayed here initially for one week but finally prolonged it once and going to do so one more time totaling overall time spend in Da Lat of 3+ weeks. Before we stayed in another hotel in Da Lat center and studied through Agoda/Booking/AirBnB all options nearby Tuyen Lam Lake. We like calm and relaxed leisure outside of noisy locations. Terracotta is the best hotel in Dalat for us meeting all our requirements. It has a fantastic park cultivated with love and taste. Placed right on the shore of the Tuyen Lam Lake, it provides you great opportunity to start your morning with the walk having water on the one side and pine-trees forest from the other. The service - both standards and attitude to guest - are superior, we are feeling ourselves like at home. We found "our place" in Vietnam and for sure will come back there not one time. This hotel has been around for almost a hundred years but its original beauty and glorious past seems to be well maintained and kept up by the current management team! All rooms are furnished with the original furniture and fixtures...up to the shower head! They're all positioned such that each of them has the best view of the Xuan Huong lake below or the surrounding resort town! From the hotel, it's a short 10 or 15 minute leisure walk to Dalat central market or the French Indochina governor mansion. The service has been as good as ever and the staff try their best to make sure the guest has the most comfortable and pleasant stay possible. Staying at this hotel, you would enjoy the history that comes with it as much as the art works and all the mahogany furniture left over from the French colonial past!

The Dalat Edensee, I booked a Deluxe Lake View room - 100% worth it. It truly deserves its #1 spot on Agoda and Trip Advisor. From the moment i made the booking and corresponded with the reservations officer (Ms. Thuy Trang) til the time i left, i had been left impressed and very satisfied with their levels and commitment to staying true to their mission of "Come. Stay. Experience". From the very beginning right till the end, it was safe to say that we were treated with utmost warmth. Amongst all the properties i have stayed in, Edensee indeed ranks as the top on my list. *** First Impressions - My first impression had already been good. As my fiancee and i would have stayed in Dalat for 2 nights prior already, i enquired with the hotel if they would be able to pick me up from my previous hotel. Ms. Thuy Trang, who handled my enquiry, not only gave me a warm reply, she gladly arranged for a car to pick my fiancee and I up from the hotel's doorstep. Our "WOWs" began the moment we stepped into the car - A luxurious Executive Car with bottled water and a welcome letter started out ride into Edensee on a good note. Ride into Edensee - The Hotel is located in a remote area away from the City Center and it is almost impossible to find your way there unless you took a cab in. But as we were picked up by a Limo, we had that covered. The view of the Tuyen Lam Lake in was Fantastic. The moment we drove into the main property itself, we were both floored at the beauty and span of the property. Beautiful private European Style villas dotting the landscape. Magnificent. Check in and Rooms - Check in was warm, fast and friendly. The moment we checked in, the front office arranged a club car to transport us and our luggage to our villa. The rooms are spacious, luxurious and beautiful, the toilets - mindblowing. Personal jacuzzi, rain showers all with a magnificent, beautiful view of the lake and the Pine Wood Forest!

I stayed here 3 days with my baby and we enjoyed the kids' swimming pool, warm pool and my baby can walk around safely ( she started to walk recently). The Deluxe room was spacious and glass window *(with curtain) between bedroom and toilet. Breakfast was nice ( cheese, croissant and yogurt for children), the restaurant has chairs and can make rice porridge for children. There is also fish and chips. We had a free ride with electric car into the gold field. car rental service of the hotel is as cheap as taxi but they have nicer cars. It cost 8 eurs to have a round trip to Tuyen Lam lake or Truc Lam pagoda where you can have sightseeing. Bike rental is also available ( did not use this service so not sure if it is free). Overall, excellent service, nice view and fresh air. ( although can be greener, hopefully). Definitely come back!

Loved the character and decor of the building with it's old style lift. However, lift doesn't operate if people dont close the door properly when they get out of it, so we did have to walk up the stairs a few times to our room. This could be annoying if you're on the ground floor waiting with luggage. Breakfast was in a lower level to the entranceway/ reception area. Didn't notice if there was a lift down to that level but it may pay to check this beforehand if you have any issues with using the stairs. Besides breakfast (which was ample choice for us, and good), we only ate one other meal at the hotel. Easy walk to the market/town area and the lake from the hotel. My only gripe is that the concierge told us he would organise their taxi to the airport at a cost of 250,000 dong. I checked with the Mai Linh taxi (that always seemed present, outside the hotel) and they said their charge would be around 300,000 dong, so we felt comfortable taking the hotel option. However the driver insisted we pay 400,000 dong when we arrived at the airport. This was annoying and spoiled what had been a great experience at the hotel. I did email the hotel to ask why this happened and never received a reply. Use the Mai Linh taxi folks! Shuttle from the airport to the hotel was really cheap so no need to get the hotel to pick you up.

My favourite hotel in Viet Nam -- and one of the most stylish I have ever stayed in. With two rooms booked we had a whole villa to ourselves, with exquisite furniture, beautiful fittings, two living rooms , a stunning view from our balcony and a wonderful open fire with a butler always on hand to light it for us. Far and away the best hotel in Dalat - don't even think of staying anywhere else. Staff fantastic -- grounds beautiful and each villa more wonderful than the last. Restaurant is set in a superb villa of its own - excellent breakfasts though the food at lunch and dinner is only OK (by the standards of Vietnam which are admittedly very very high) and expensive (ditto). Don't forget to have a perfectly mixed long drink in the beautiful upstairs bar, sitting on the balcony looking at the stars. Ooohhh - I wish I could be back there again! Pool is also lovely (though water a little bracing at 1500m altitude) .

This hotel is like a hiden germ. It looked small at the entrace but it was bigger and very beautiful once I stepped inside. The frontdesk staffs were kind to give me a free upgrade to their Premier room. The room looks romantic with warm lights, beautiful view, nice decorations. Their bed is so comfortable. The room is spacious, and the bathroom is huge with clean white towels, a sepater shower and tub with big glass wall like a five star hotel. You can see the view from the bath tub. Oh, there is a flat screen smart TV too. Their free buffet breakfast was good. I love their Pho the most. At night, it was nice taking a 5 minute taxi trip to Ho Xuan Huong Lake to stroll around the lake and try street food at Lam Vien square. The hotel is on the main street and has 24hrs security so I feel safe. I’ll definitely come back again. Strongly recommended.

we used the hotel staff to provide us with a 1/2 day private tour at a cost of us$60. our tour guide was fabulous - took us to all the main attractions - allowed us enough time to enjoy sites we were interested in. the staff at the hotel were terrific and provided 5 star service levels at conceirge, reception and bell desk. the rooms were very large and very clean. the hotel is located in the middle of the city - the best location of all hotels in da lat.

We had a very pleasant stay at this place. The villa's surroundings were beautiful and well kept, with gardens full of flowers, with a great view of Tuyen Lam lake. The staff were very friendly and professional. Breakfast food can be improved but we didn't expect much so it was ok. Bicycles can be rented for free to explore the resort. Room was very clean. Resort located about 7km away from city center but there's free shuttle bus running thrice daily. Getting a taxi is relatively easy too, costing around US$5-7 per trip. Highly recommendable for people who want a getaway from busy city life. Would definitely return if current pricing remains.

Hotel is located walking distance to night market (5 mins). It has an antique design throughout the hotel. It comes with free hot breakfast buffet style mostly Vietnamese dishes. They have airport/hotel pick up service with only 400,000 dong which is around $20 USD for up to 9 peoples. You may also rent their van up to 7 passengers for only $40 USD/day for 1 day tour. Everything here is one stop shop. Staffs are very nice and professional. We will definitely come back again!

Good location and convenience ,there's many food and bakery around the location . 10 mins walk to night market . Night market things are expensive . Accommodation is good and staff is helpful and smiling face ,greatly appreciate their help to guide me to the night market and around the surrounding . i need to feed back is i book a Taxi from Hotel to airport and was advice from Hotel staff the amount is 300 thousand Dong but when i reach airport the taxi driver collected from me 460 thousand dong .i feel am i cheated and i waited the Taxi 45 mins in the Hotel and rushing to airport due to check in .

Its a very wonderful stay. I stay at bungalow 2. Although the hotel maybe quite unknown to some people due to the location but the view and the surroundings there is marvellous. Excellent view like what others say. Its really worth the money and they do have private car tour for just 600k-800k dong or you can rent a motorbike for just 120k dong/day. The staff are helpful. If u take taxi to dalat city area, its just less than 50k-70k dong. Best view are bungalow 2 and 3.

This is our second stay at the Saigon Dalat Hotel. It's very clean and located just outside the downtown area (not too close - not too far). The room are a nice size and the beds are very comfortable (huge plus). There's free in-room wi-fi which is excellent. Here are the only negative things I would say about this hotel. 1. During our stay, the hotel was booked with an office party. Many of these guest were non 4-star guests. Meaning, there was drunk yelling in the hallways, banging on the doors in the middle of the night, slamming of the doors all day/night. I understand that this does not directly reflect the hotel - but they made no effort to curb this activity either. Like I said, these people are not 4-star qualified as they're not mindfull of others around them. I paid for a nice and quite hotel - but what I got a lot of noisy drunk people. 2. The food was just okay and was boring. Very little change up in the day-to-day offering. Some items are not fresh, and are put away only to be presented the next day. The omlette station and fresh soup station on the other hand are great. The fruit is freshly prepared every day. 3. The servers seems unhappy. When I was there 2 years ago, I recall the servers and restaurant personnel being much friendlier. I don't think a single person cracked a smile. It would be nice to feel as if you're welcome. 4. Out bathtub drained slowly - leaving us to shower in ankle deep in water every morning. I reported it several times - no action was taken. Again, not on par of a 4-star hotel. 5. Out room key became deactivated every couple of days. They had no answer as to why this happened, only that there was a "glitch." We were only inconvienced a few times - but again - not on par with a 4-star hotel. All-in-all we like this hotel. The front staff are nice. We would consider staying here again - but may check out another 4-star hotel to just to compare.

The staff are very helpful, especially a female staff called Lam Viem who speaks good english and gave us her handphone number in the event that we get lost so that we can call her to let her talk to the cab driver. The wifi connection is fast, and the swimming pool/steam room/sauna are well maintained as well. Hotel stayers also get 40% off any spa package, and I got a relatively good full body massage at only 162,000 dong! The lake that was meant to be the city attraction was dried up! The locals told us that the lake was undergoing some construction, therefore they had to remove all the water. It was a great pity!

Pros: Room Huge, comfortable, clean bed. Huge bathroom with a rainfall shower with constant hot water. Huge balcony with an unbelievable view. Fridge was brand new. WiFi was perfect. The cleaning staff are great. Location So close to everything. There's an amazing cafe across the street. A burger restaurant 2 doors down (Oz burgers) that has cheap and great quality Western food and cheap beers. Cons: (not many) The electronic door lock is loud and the sound of other people's locks is loud enough to wake you. The elevator is a little slow. That's it... The hotel is great. Try get a room on the 6th floor. The room was little overpriced but still worth the money all things considered I suppose. We stayed in 602 and from what I can tell it was the best room in the place.

I stayed in Tulip I for 2 nights and it was better than I expected. First of all, I was looking for a budget hotel so I didn't expect much. The room was clean and nice, not big BUT enough for 2 ppl moving around. Room had fridge, hair dryer, electric kettle and 2 free water bottles (everyday). The staff are supper friendly, they responded every questions that I had about where to eat, to shop or to go. They are so nice that I feel like they always do their best so I can feel comfortable during the stay. 5 stars for the service!! Tip: there is bus from hotel to airport 40.000vnd (less than 2$) each, which is really cheap compare to taking taxi and you can ask receptionist to contact the bus for you! When I left it was so rush I didn't have a chance to say thank so THANK YOU very very much. Oh and their wifi was pretty fast too so, 1 more plus!

Be sure to have a print out of your agoda voucher handy! Huge 39 sm room with very comfortable bed, seating area, work desk... all nice and clean. They will have in room safe soon. They went out of their way to provide us with one in the meantime. Excellent service from management and staff. The breakfast buffet was outstanding!!! Unlimited coffee as well. Lots of restaurants and Easy Rider across the street. Truly enjoyed our day tour with Bang and Tu. Go see the Crazy House, take the cable car up to Truc Lam monastery, ride the bobsled down to the Datanla Waterfall and see the mosaic Linh Phuoc Pagoda - all fantastic!

What a truly brilliant experience. We have been travelling Asia for 7 months and this is by far the best Hotel we have stayed in. From the time we arrived we were treated like family. From the doorman and security staff to the bellboys and reception staff we were treated with nothing but respect and warm smiles. We were greet by the GM Mohammed at check in, what a splendid and kind hearted person he is. We were shown to our big room with massive comfortable beds. The shower and toletries were great quality and the room well equipped, a big television and couch area was a nice touch. We ate here 3 out of the 4 nights we stayed here. The food was delicious and plentiful and the service attentive. We enjoyed Happy Hour in the lounge with buy 1 get one drink complimentary. Drinks were nice.and the cocktails on the mark for a 5 star hotel. We swam in the indoor pool during our stay and were provided with warm pool towels to dry off. The gym was very well equipped, it had everything you would ever need. I spent some time in there. There is a 2 level childrens play area which is like an amusement park. Fun rides and all for a minimal cost. Breakfast was good. A mix of asian and western food. There is taxis for the 5km ride to town, they will have a shuttle bus operating soon. This hotel is still in its soft opening and was truly wonderful. We didnt want to leave. We had so much fun here and felt like really valued guests. They will have a casino opening soon too. Our 2 and 4 year old were spoilt rotten by all staff. We felt very safe here and very much welcomed. Thank you to Mohammed (GM). Helen (Sales and Marketing Manager) and each and every staff member for a truly wonderful stay. You all went far above and beyond what we ever expected. We will be back.

From Airport To Hotel Around 30-40 Mins Around 200,000 Dong (Quoted By Taxi Driver, But Taxi Driver Will Still On The Meter To Show You What Is The Actual Cost > Est 450,000 Dong To Hotel. Hotel Is Near To Da Lat Market (Less Than 5 Mins Walk) & Walkable Distance To Few Area Of Attraction. Hotel Do Provided Daily Tours Which Is Reasonable Amount. Hotel Room Does Come With Rotating Standing Fan...If Not It Will Be Very Stuffy In The Room At Night Even With Windows Open. Will Come Back Stay Again :)

I was planning to go to Dalat with another 2 friends (a guy and a girl). Thats why i was looking for a suite with seperate living room and bedroom areas. Sammy's deluxe suite offers a very nice roomy bathroom (with bathstub and stand). Its living room also has complementary drinks and teabag. The hotel locates very closed to downtown Dalat and Con Ga Church. It took only 7 minhtes to walk to Dalat market. The staffs are very nice. We asked for an extra bed and they charged only 17 dollars for it ( fairly cheap price in my opinion). In general im very pleased with thus hotel during my stay.

We was there in early December 2015, only one night after finish the early morning trip from Ho Chi Minh city. It very close to the Dalat bus station. In the previous day, I called reception and told them we will be there at 4-5 AM. My first impressive is that hotel look very news, modern furniture, nice design and high standard facilities. The reception man open the glass door quickly when we came. After several minutes, we went to the room.. wow, nice and warm looking feel like you are standing on North pole, out side is 12 Celsius and they opened the balcony wide.. very cold. I have to tuned on the hair drier to warm it up. I recognized the room is not 100% sound proof :D Bed is large, cleanliness, comfortable, balcony view very beautiful. Water is very cold, you have to turn on hot 100% for several minutes. On the morning, we rent a Yamaha Nouvo bike from the hotel, they call a agency near the hotel but the bike quality is very cheap, not recommended. One of the advantage of this hotel is buffet breakfast, not only various of choices but also good skill chief, both Western and Eastern food. The staff is helpful and nice, but I feel they so carefully so that they not so quickly enough to have my 1+. In conclusion, the hotel is very peaceful, comfortable, worth the price. It is good for couples, family with old man to relax in Dalat.

We stayed in Dalat only two night and we were really glad to have chosen this hotel. It's located a bit far from the city center but honeslty we preferred the silence instead of a clacson concert. By the way 50k Dong are enough to take a taxi to the center.The staff was really friendly and helpful, they also gave us one gift before going away. The rooms are enormous and the bed is wonderful. We didn't try the food but the list was rich. The breakfast was ok but nothing spectacular.

The hotel is slightly off the beaten track allowing for a quiet and peaceful stay yet within walking distance to many attractions. The staff are extremely helpful and have tried their hardest to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We met many locals who were extremely friendly and offered us many local food and drinks, so much I ended up pretty drunk. The rooms are even higher quality than more expensive local hotels so the value for money is unbeatable. I have stopped in several places in Da Lat from budget to high end and this was as cheap as the budget hostels and higher quality than the high end hotels. I cannot recommend highly enough we have already decided to stop another night on our way back through Da Lat

If you wish to have transquil and relaxed atmosphere, this is the best choice. The on-hill location with panorama view of forest, farms, and hill will entirely bring you great stay. it is very closed to cable car to Tuyen Lam lake with a vegetable buffet at VND49k per person at its station (1st floor). After your visit at Tuyen Lam, you can have a heavy meal with average price up to VND180k/ portion (because you have to pay for the VND49k ticket and extra items order). During the day, when you stay at this resort, you dont have to wear earphone as there is natural voice of birds, chicken, dog to entertain you. The disadvantage is mosquito, dark light in the room and bathroom. This somehow scares you alot and i had to turn on all light for sleeping. But if you go with your partner, then it might become romantic

I booked a VIP room and really satisfied with all facilities here, bedroom, bathroom, classic closet, cupboard, except the mat with horrible smell, like someone pissed on that. Staff is nice and 1 of the 2 receptionists is super cute, she smiled all the time. Price is reasonable, VIP room is just like the screen-shots, I came at 7 AM and requested an early-booking but the extra fee just cost 120k VND. Motorbikes for hire belong to the hotel, pretty handy. Just 1 complaint is there's no breakfast option when booking since the hotel has no kitchen, luckily there're a few roadside restaurants and Lien Hoa bakery nearby.
