This is my second stay at this hotel and the Grand has truly made a fan out of me. Having checked into 4 different hotels before arriving at the Grand, I found that this hotel was better than most hotels in Tamil Nadu and is even better than newer 5 star hotels that have recently been launched in Chennai. The familiar sound of 'Vanakkam' as a greeting whether over the phone or in person gave me great comfort. The hotel staff were excellent and for once I found a hotel staff member who refused a tip, despite my insistence, in India. The food at breakfast was excellent and the spa which I finally had time to use was truly professional. Thank you Grand, I will be back for sure

Great location, spacious club room , staff very helpful (esp Bala in reception and bala in house keeping). water , good coffee in room( not always replenished but appeared when asked) and excellent turn down service . The hotel is a little tired and not 5 star but still good value for money. We had 2 rooms,one for my husband and I and the other for my daughter . One room was larger with good bathroom, other room was smaller with a bathroom that needed to be updated. .Debendra in the front desk should have been more thoughtful and given the bigger room to the couple......... check the room before you accept it. Room service - very quick. Delicious Buffet breakfast with enormous spread of local and european items. Made to order, Omelette ,dosa , paratha station, the list goes on. We ate at the earthen oven restaurant - NW frontier food - was fantastic - one of the best meals I have had this trip. Bottom line - little renovation and this could be one of the best.

I have chosen and visited IDEAL BEACH Resort after reading the reviews online from the previous travelers and visitors. True to their reviews the resort is above the mark. PROS: 1. STAFF - The staff are really courteous and friendly and very helpful. Especially the staff at the restaurant helped me in handling my TWINS of 3 years old. 2. LOCATION: Best location by sea side 3. SAFETY: You have securities 24 hours, at each place, LAWN, BEACH, so you can even for for a MOON WALK :) 4. CLEANLINESS: The rooms particularly the TOILETS, BATH TUB are maintained very clean. Even a request of re clean after day 1 was promptly done. 5. FOOD: Break fast comes with the package. Lunch and Dinner has to be paid, which is little bit costly. Better plan on this. Cons: Actually no cons but for the sake of writing May seem a little costly but worthy A special thanks to the Management and Staff for making our visit memorable. Will try to visit again. We stayed this hotel from 9th - 12th of May 2015. Our stay was pleasant and memorable. The Hotel is placed in a very convenient location in the heart of T. Nagar. It's just 4 mins. walk to Saravanas Selvaratnam Retail Stores and about 6-9 mins. walking distance to The Chennai Silks & Pothys. The only complaint that we have is that we lost about 9000/- (Sri Lankan Rupees) which was in a wallet in my wife's handbag left on the chair (inside the room), on the day that we checked out. I had specifically requested the House Keeping staff, not to clean the Room, and told that we will be checking out that morning. In spite of my request, I found that the room was cleaned. We found a (pink colored) folded paper inserted into the card slot to switch the lights on. We also found a receipt that was kept in my wife's handbag lying on the chair where the handbag was left. We never suspected about any theft since its a reputed hotel. However,after landing in Colombo, on our way from the Airport we needed some local currency for some purchases, that is when I found that the cash is missing (A SLRs. 5000/- note and four 1000/- notes). Although it's a small amount, I feel that I must keep the future guests aware, in order to avoid such situations. It may not be the fault of the Hotel Management. This information will at least help them find out the culprit, by checking the CCTV footage as to who had entered the room while we were away. Other than that it's a very place to stay.

We stayed for only one night on our way out of Tamil Nadu on our way to Malaysia. We chose the hot because of a free airport shuttle deal through Agoda. My husband is a vegan and the downstairs restaurant provided an appropriate lunch after discussion with the chef. Well done! Chennai had multiple power cuts during our stays and the hotel generator clicked in immediately. Wifi worked OK, not always the case in Tamil Nadu. On arrival we were told that we had been Upgraded to a club room, which gave us access to s special lounge for our breakfast. This was great, as we had an early flight. Nice breakfast with plenty of choice. We had previously spent four nights at The Residency, the smaller sister hotel of Residency Towers and preferred it to the more expensive Residency Towers. The latter is larger, has a pool and other facilities the former does not have, but seems to cater for groups rather than the independent traveller. Sleep proved impossible because of loud and continual noise of machinery, possibly the central air conditioning system. Turning off our rooms air con did not help. Earl plugs did not help either and our stay was spoiled by this.

The best thing is the Duty Manager who is NASIM. He is wonderful and, has the highest work ethic. I had never come across such well mannered, kind and trained Duty Manager. He went over and beyond to make our stay memorable. Thank you for giving us a very warm welcome and kind assistance on making our stay happy... Our stay at Kences Palm Beach has been a pleasure. Everything was beyond perfect, and my family and I were well taken care of. The resort is very beautiful and integrated services and excellent, and our Beach Villa is so beautiful, clean and comfortable and it was so close to the beach. We will definetly be returning in the near future.

we had a nice stay at the accord metropolitan. the staff was very nice, the royal indianaa and the pergola offer good food, breakfast in the cafe was good as well. they're drivers that they offer to take you on day trips are expensive. call one of the taxi services instead. also, for a business hotel, more of their staff needs to speak more languages. surprisingly, out of all the places we stayed in tamil nadu, even rameswarem where i was the only western person, we had the most trouble communicating with staff at the accord. my tarzan tamil helped. also, stop playing kenny g!!!

This was my 2nd visit to Hotel Savera during a 14 day holiday to the state of Tamil Nadu in July / August 2010. We stopped for a total of 8 nights at the hotel so for a full detailed report on the hotel and surrounding area please read my "long winded" review from late July 2010. As a summary I was very pleased with my choice of the Hotel Savera and will return there again on my next arrival in Chennai. Pleasant large hotel, good friendly well trained staff, with an excellent choice of restaurants and bars on site. We did not need to go out at night with 3 quality reastaurants and 2 drinks bars which served meals. If you are into fitness you have a quality modern gym / fitness centre with a good sized swimming pool all free to use ( just short of enough sun bed and umbrella's for the western tourist who enjoy a day around the pool !!) The hotel is primarily for Indian business men and locals with several conference rooms and banquet halls BUT it is also geared to providing a comfortable ambience for the occasional group of western tourist guests. During our 8 days we met fellow tourists from France, The Netherlands and the United States. Read the full review from a few day earlier.

My husband and I stayed with our 2 young kids here for 2 nights - from 8 to 10 September 2018. I have travelled and stayed in many hotels in India and around the world , and I must say that this hotel is one of the best in my books - in terms of service , cleanliness , ambience and aesthetics and infrastructure and warmth and hospitality . We were given a sea view room facing the Bay of Bengal - it was peaceful and serene . One will really feel like a royalty when entering the hotel . Everyone from the bellman to the porters , ushers , Housekeeping and staff at the breakfast buffet restaurant area fantastic in the warmth and service they extend to you . The service delivery is highly consistent . I had asked for extra complimentary cookies for my young children and also shower gels and all were given to me very promptly ( unlike other good hotels ). Special mention- probably one of the few hotels that provide u with such ample complimentary mineral water for your use .

After a period of rugged traveling around Tamil Nadu we came to Chennai for a bit of luxury and comfort and E hotel provided both, along with comfort and convenience too. The staff are a great strength to this elegant, cosy hotel within a mall. From Balamurugan, Sayed and Mani at the counter to Mohan from the IT department [who patiently dealt with my dying mobile phone], everyone was polite, gracious and thoroughly professional. Will surely return.

Hi, Since, we booked through agoda.com, the resort guys didn't get our contact & hence weren't able to assist us in reaching the hotel. The place is located in the middle of the forest (See Google Maps Satellite view to get a feel of what i am saying here) & we reached there by 6am via bus, (which was our mistake. Going by Car is preferred). We got dropped off nearby (about 1km away) with the help of google maps, but there was no street lights or even humans. We got pissed off, but we saw this resort's small board arrow sign with a number in it. Tried reaching it. Hopefully we had signal(Airtel) in our mobile at that point & thankfully a guy attended our call & asked us to wait there and they sent us a car to pick up. The only way to the resort is terrible. We couldn't even imagine now about walking out in that darkness. This was about to make our trip a terrible one, but somehow it ended up well. Pros: 1.) The place/location/middle-of-the-forest was awesome. 2.) View point from swimming pool was extraordinary with pure crystal water. 3.) Served us Yummy Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner Buffet. 4.) The place was too chill & almost covered with mist. Cons: 1.) No adventure activities during rainy season. 2.) Not allowed to bath in falls that runs just behind this resort. 3.) No network or Wifi(Except in their reception). 4.) We reached there by 6am but we weren't given a room until our checkin time(1pm). There was no availability is what they said. Tragedy: There was a fence to stop people from going to falls, but one of our friend went beyond that & slipped & got a injury on head. It was part of our mistake as well, but it would've been better if these hotel guys should've locked that fence. I hope this long review of mine helps someone else planning to go to this place. Highly recommended hotel. Very clean and safe. Extremely helpful and friendly staff, females and males working there. Very nice atmosphere due to that. Reception booked taxis at local rates. As solo female traveler they even called up the driver to make sure I arrived safely at the desired station. Free luggage storage until evening. The quality of food in the restaurant is excellent and at very good rates. AC worked well. ATMs in opposite of hotel. I can only recommend this place to anyone.

Hyatt Regency Chennai said, on my arrival, that they could not give me my room because there were issues with their 'foreigner registration' process. The govt immigration dept has apparently suspended their permission to accept foreigner's bookings. They emailed me about this just the day before my arrival - an email I did not see because I was out of internet contact at that time (being in rural Tamil Nadu). The email wasn't even from 'Hyatt Regency' but from someone on the staff called 'Dave' - not professional. They relocated me to Park Hyatt which is a totally different part of the city. I explained that we had chosen Hyatt Regency (for a family event) because it was close to the event venue. So the issue was very inconvenient and resulted in much time taken up with revising our plans and extra travel around the city. The only compensation they offered was 'points' towards one free night for one person at some time in the future. I will not be availing myself of this.

First time staying in this place. The third time to tiruchi. I would say this is the best hotel so far. Standard room is small but very cozy and modern . Bed is so comfortable and its very clean. The best part the hotel offers is 24 hour check out no matter if we booked through website. However the finishing in the showerroom looks rushed with broken tiles , broken and rusted handle, the showerroom looks abit outdated maybe because of the tiles colors and finishing. The were some mould over the edges. But this is just a minor thing. Overall it was clean . I really love this place as its walking distance to many famous restaurant and theater. Major shopping street is also nearby but need to take auto... The breakfast was good but almost same spread daily . When i was there , one of the potato dish made was not cooked, it was raw. Informed the waiter . the other shortfall was that the wifi connection is not so good. I gets disconnected often. I will return to this hotel next time.

The best thing about YERCAUD is possibly the fact that there is very little to do. At an altitude of 5000 meters, this translates to the best way to enjoy some solitude, look aimlessly into the horizon and zone out. And Lake Forest enables you to do just that. Lake Forest is a very picturesque boutiqueish resort that will rejuvenate your city senses at every turn. I think the word that describes it the best is, tasteful. If ‘nature’ tops you things to do in your 2-day escapade to Yercaud, the verdant and withering mix of wood and greenery is just what you may need. The feel of the place is extremely soothing and the rooms over all very comfortable. The Chief General Manager Mr.Sunit Dutt was kind enough to take us on a recce of several of the rooms and should you have a similar chance you might come out confused on your ideal choice of a room – each of them are extremely tasteful and unique. The resort is in the midst of a small coffee plantation and a walk around the place is just outside your room. The resort offers a small but very picturesque walking trail and is a stone’s throw (almost opposite) the Yercaud Lake. Food on the A La Carte menu was very well priced and well made. There were a few glitches on the room service but it didn’t mar the overall experience over all. I however would have expected a little more variety and options over their breakfast and other buffets given their pricing of the rooms. The other similar priced options in Yercaud are GRT Nature Trails and Hotel Grand – we checked out both of them; while they were extremely good with the creature comforts, none matched the natural warmth that Lake Forest exuded. I am pretty sure where I would like to stay on my next trip to Yercaud.

Out of all the hotels we stayed in 5 different cities in Tamil Nadu, IndEco was the best. Their staff are fabulous and treat you like part of there family. You feel that you are their family guest. The collection of artifects by the owner are fantastic and have been displayed all around the hotel. The tour of the hotel by him was fantastic especially for the young adult and teenage kids. The traditional Tamil Nadu food provided was excellent and they are happy to provide recepies if we ask. It was great waking up to the sounds of animals and birds every morning. The staff were well presented and the place was kept very clean and traditional. All staff were happy to explain things to anyone who stopped by. On the whole it was a fabulous experience and was the highlight of our 14 day tour of Tamil nadu.

Had stayed for 2 nights here on a family trip. Hotel is located on a hill top and Is at walkable distance from the tea factory and about 10mins drive by car to boat house. As its on a hill, this isn't in the heart of city type hotel with small roads and congested traffic which is what I had wanted and you get a very nice view from the garden especially during night with all the lights in ooty. Also the hotel staff is very helpful and there is car parking facility in the premises. Lobby area and large garden are their plus points and they also have a kids indoor play area where you can let your kids alone to play on their own without any fears. The play area also has a good badminton court, TT table, Snooker, chess, carrom and also a cardio gym with sauna. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. The restaurant food was OK, but if you're a hardcore tandoori chicken person and want a large variety of food, best to eat out as the hotel does not provide tandoori items. We had ordered some parathas, Chinese chicken and daal which were good. Breakfast options were decently good , specifically liked the puri and sambar. Overall a good place to stay on a family trip and excellent value for money for the 3500/- per night room that I had stayed in👍

Booked for two nights as I had booked another hotel for the other 4 nights, but decided to cancel that reservation and stay on at Ramada as i felt very comfortable and safe there. They are very professional and helpful. Clean and the food was lovely. Mainly Indian cuisine for breakfast buffet but I loved it. They went out of their way on so many occasions just to make sure I was looked after well and I could easily say that I received 5 star treatment from a 4 star rated property. About 10 mts to express avenue mall etc. It’s cheaper and easier to use Uber when you’re there. Overall my experience at the property and in Chennai was very pleasant and I would definitely recommend Ramada to any decent traveler. Also I would definitely patronize this place whenever I return to Chennai

Excellent hotel in virtually all aspects. One of the best hotels I have stayed in and thoroughly recommended. Only thing I would change is the way to get a taxi. The hotel taxi service is very expensive and staff are not very helpfully when booking a non hotel cab from NTL or Fast Car (the two main city companies)so often you are waiting in your room while the taxi is in the lobby and staff have not made you aware. This happened a couple times, which is a shame, as other than that this is a really excellent hotel.

I booked this hotel for a day stop over before my flight as I have kid and baby . When I came my kid picked local virus and fell sick. We cancelled our trip until he felt better. Every single person in the hotel was so caring and amazing hospitality Chef cooked baby and pepper jeer rasam rice how it has to be served for sick person Following person performed amazing above and beyond service Mukesh from f&b dept in room dining service Food department: Dilli babu from south indian dept & Sasi from south indian dept House keeping: amazing . They wait until my kids wake up and when they play they clean by then Bikaram from restaurant service And more people No worries of hotel as they take care more than a house in terms of need. Overall they are very friendly and so caring in a needy situation. We felt like home, so fortunate to have this hotel booked during a crisis situation.i would highly recommend this hotel anytime.

Hotel is well managed and well run. Staff was very attentive and kind and the hotel's restaurant breakfast buffet was excellent. They have an offering of dinner buffet on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as part of the room which is equally excellent in choice and taste. From Monday to Thursday the package dinner is a small ala carte selection that is so, so only. Only drawback is transport to and fro, where the easiest choice to have a cellphone so you can book through only cabbie ola. If you don't have a cellphone the reception is more than happy to help. Apart from that you have to book a cab through the hotel at 5 and 10 hour packages. Their facilities are simple and sparse for a four star hotel.

Location is good. We stayed here for 4 Nights. The hotel is very near (walking distance) to famous restaurant like Amma Chettinadu Restaurant, Hotel Virudhunagar Chettinad, Murugan Idli, Pakwan Chennai and etc. The Pothys Boutique is also very near about 2 minutes walk. The best thing about this boutiques is that it provides free shuttle service To Pothys T Nagar. We enjoyed shopping at both branches. What I love most about Benzzpark Hotel is their hot water shower. My godness after a long tiring walk, you would enjoy satisfying hot shower. Food is meet requirement only. I have tasted better breakfast buffet in Chennai at similar rate

This is a beautiful and well kept place, with an excellent pool, a green, treed environment and very tasteful rooms. The vegetarian cooking is excellent and there is a varied menu choice. The staff are friendly and competent, and very willing to please. The location is just far enough outside Tiravanamalai to be well away from any noise or bustle and to give a very country feel, but not so far that you cannot slow walk to the Ramana Ashram along a tree-lined road in about half an hour, and a further ten minutes to the temple. It is also easy to order an auto rickshaw from reception to take you there in ten minutes. This is the nicest place I stayed in in Tamil Nadu, comparable to the Taj in Madurai, but much less expensive. Don't miss it.

It was really worthwhile for every single money we paid. The room was clean, fit well with young modern taste and spacious for family.They have small cooking area which is unusual for 3 star hotel to offer, very handy for those who brings small children which need simple home cooking. Really happy with the hotel staff who is really helpful. The best part of the hotel is 24 hour check in which is great for those who want to check in and check out early. Overall, the best value money for 3 star hotel in Chennai.
