Tamil Nadu State hotels & accommodations

This is my second stay at this hotel and the Grand has truly made a fan out of me. Having checked into 4 different hotels before arriving at the Grand, I found that this hotel was better than most hotels in Tamil Nadu and is even better than newer 5 star hotels that have recently been launched in Chennai. The familiar sound of 'Vanakkam' as a greeting whether over the...

Would have been nicer to see a mini library and a games area.eg. Pool table. Food is very expensive.and added taxes are unreasonable. Hotel tax Tamil Nadu tax Central government tax Above taxes cost more than the value of the chosen food. Bill was included with the chocolates that we have not eaten from the minibar.

Great location, spacious club room , staff very helpful (esp Bala in reception and bala in house keeping). water , good coffee in room( not always replenished but appeared when asked) and excellent turn down service . The hotel is a little tired and not 5 star but still good value for money. We had 2 rooms, one for my husband and I and the other for my daughter ....

I have chosen and visited IDEAL BEACH Resort after reading the reviews online from the previous travelers and visitors. True to their reviews the resort is above the mark. PROS: 1. STAFF - The staff are really courteous and friendly and very helpful. Especially the staff at the restaurant helped me in handling my TWINS of 3 years old. 2. LOCATION: Best location by se...

The best thing is the Duty Manager who is NASIM. He is wonderful and, has the highest work ethic. I had never come across such well mannered, kind and trained Duty Manager. He went over and beyond to make our stay memorable. Thank you for giving us a very warm welcome and kind assistance on making our stay happy... Our stay at Kences Palm Beach has been a pleasure. ...

My husband and I stayed with our 2 young kids here for 2 nights - from 8 to 10 September 2018. I have travelled and stayed in many hotels in India and around the world , and I must say that this hotel is one of the best in my books - in terms of service , cleanliness , ambience and aesthetics and infrastructure and warmth and hospitality . We were given a sea view room...

After a period of rugged traveling around Tamil Nadu we came to Chennai for a bit of luxury and comfort and E hotel provided both, along with comfort and convenience too. The staff are a great strength to this elegant, cosy hotel within a mall. From Balamurugan, Sayed and Mani at the counter to Mohan from the IT department [who patiently dealt with my dying mobile phon...

Hi, Since, we booked through agoda.com, the resort guys didn't get our contact & hence weren't able to assist us in reaching the hotel. The place is located in the middle of the forest (See Google Maps Satellite view to get a feel of what i am saying here) & we reached there by 6am via bus, (which was our mistake. Going by Car is preferred). We got dropped off nearby...

Highly recommended hotel. Very clean and safe. Extremely helpful and friendly staff, females and males working there. Very nice atmosphere due to that. Reception booked taxis at local rates. As solo female traveler they even called up the driver to make sure I arrived safely at the desired station. Free luggage storage until evening. The quality of food in the restau...

I am Bangalore born settled in Sydney. Every time I visit Chennai I look forward to indulge in listening to people speaking in my mother tongue Tamil. Unfortunately, I hear more of Hindi. Chennai has been changing slowly and steadily over the time. I am not against anyone from other states being employed; the staff are fabulous and all are doing their jobs in a wond...

Hyatt Regency Chennai said, on my arrival, that they could not give me my room because there were issues with their 'foreigner registration' process. The govt immigration dept has apparently suspended their permission to accept foreigner's bookings. They emailed me about this just the day before my arrival - an email I did not see because I was out of internet contac...

First time staying in this place. The third time to tiruchi. I would say this is the best hotel so far. Standard room is small but very cozy and modern . Bed is so comfortable and its very clean. The best part the hotel offers is 24 hour check out no matter if we booked through website. However the finishing in the showerroom looks rushed with broken tiles , broken an...

The best thing about YERCAUD is possibly the fact that there is very little to do. At an altitude of 5000 meters, this translates to the best way to enjoy some solitude, look aimlessly into the horizon and zone out. And Lake Forest enables you to do just that. Lake Forest is a very picturesque boutiqueish resort that will rejuvenate your city senses at every turn. I...

Out of all the hotels we stayed in 5 different cities in Tamil Nadu, IndEco was the best. Their staff are fabulous and treat you like part of there family. You feel that you are their family guest. The collection of artifects by the owner are fantastic and have been displayed all around the hotel. The tour of the hotel by him was fantastic especially for the young adul...

Had stayed for 2 nights here on a family trip. Hotel is located on a hill top and Is at walkable distance from the tea factory and about 10mins drive by car to boat house. As its on a hill, this isn't in the heart of city type hotel with small roads and congested traffic which is what I had wanted and you get a very nice view from the garden especially during night w...

Booked for two nights as I had booked another hotel for the other 4 nights, but decided to cancel that reservation and stay on at Ramada as i felt very comfortable and safe there. They are very professional and helpful. Clean and the food was lovely. Mainly Indian cuisine for breakfast buffet but I loved it. They went out of their way on so many occasions just to m...

Excellent hotel in virtually all aspects. One of the best hotels I have stayed in and thoroughly recommended. Only thing I would change is the way to get a taxi. The hotel taxi service is very expensive and staff are not very helpfully when booking a non hotel cab from NTL or Fast Car (the two main city companies)so often you are waiting in your room while the taxi is...

I booked this hotel for a day stop over before my flight as I have kid and baby . When I came my kid picked local virus and fell sick. We cancelled our trip until he felt better. Every single person in the hotel was so caring and amazing hospitality Chef cooked baby and pepper jeer rasam rice how it has to be served for sick person Following person performed amazing...

Hotel is well managed and well run. Staff was very attentive and kind and the hotel's restaurant breakfast buffet was excellent. They have an offering of dinner buffet on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as part of the room which is equally excellent in choice and taste. From Monday to Thursday the package dinner is a small ala carte selection that is so, so only. Only draw...

Location is good. We stayed here for 4 Nights. The hotel is very near (walking distance) to famous restaurant like Amma Chettinadu Restaurant, Hotel Virudhunagar Chettinad, Murugan Idli, Pakwan Chennai and etc. The Pothys Boutique is also very near about 2 minutes walk. The best thing about this boutiques is that it provides free shuttle service To Pothys T Nagar....

It was really worthwhile for every single money we paid. The room was clean, fit well with young modern taste and spacious for family. They have small cooking area which is unusual for 3 star hotel to offer, very handy for those who brings small children which need simple home cooking. Really happy with the hotel staff who is really helpful. The best part of the hotel i...

one of the best five stars hotel in the neighbourhood. love the variety of restaurants offered inside the hotel for dinner. clean, spacious room with excellent staffs. the only downside for me is the selection of buffet for breakfast. other than that, excellent

In Hotel Sri Balakrishna, Salem, they said they didn't receive payment details made to Agoda by me which caused hardship to me. Secondly, If I book directly to them, there is no tax for amount less than Rs 1000 whereas Agoda has charged taxes amounting to around Rs 300. Pl clarify and arrange to refund the tax amount as the room tariff is less than Rs 900.

We had a short stay here. Very friendly staff. Rooms were clean. Parking facilities outside. Lots of good restaurants near the hotel. Location also ok. Near to the chennai central railway. Only issue is this hotel don't have a scale. We have to take the bags outside to check the weight in any case. But helpful staff is always welcome for such matters. Overall I can rec...

Had such a great stayhere and would 100% recommend anyone to stay here! Clean spotless with nice modern bathroom and the best value !! A nice walk to the beach, the room boys come in the morning to see if you need any tea/ coffee and then a little later to see if you need breakfast ! Very central to everything and nice eateries in walking distance. Even had news pap...

Raghvi Tourist home is managed by UMA ji. She is hard working and dedicated person who is available 24X7 for any issue. She is a local guide too who can arrange or suggest good options from spending extra bucks. Location is really good as all nearby sea spots are at 10-15 mins walk.

150 years at least of ever changing history left a lot of patina on this grand lady of indias hotel scene. With my first visit some 30 years ago Chennai and broadlands are one for me. Time changed also the kind of visitors to this icon. In the past it was given that one would spent weeks and months and a kind of family feeling would have been established while today's ...

Good budget option with a soft mattress. Located out of town, but good bus options to get into the centre. Good price. Staff were lovely and did the best they could with what they had. Had problems with the room (fan not adjustable, shower head missing, powerpoint broken, holes in window screen). Was moved to different room on request, which resolved fan and powerpo...

Either you are on a trip or business meeting. This is a great place to stay for a solo traveller. The best part of Zostel is that its just a homely environment. Even though the check out is early. You could use hallway and washroom until evening or night. Even leave your luggage behind and collect it by end of the day which is just another plus point. Over all great ex...

It was over all a good experience in staying in this Hotel. The staff were courteous. The location is also OK, but the parking arrangements could have been a bit better as there is no reserved parking specific to the room as it is on first come first serve basis. If you couldn't find a parking, you have to park on the sides of the Road, but that was also OK..

Pros- Clean, friendly staff, great roof top, comfy beds, filtered water available for free, beautiful views, quiet, nice garden. Cons- Far away from Kodaikanal as its a 1hr 20 minute walk or taxi is a minimum 350 rps to the lake. No laundry facilities and hot water ran out in female dorm after 7 minutes of showering (I was the only guest). No food available nearby e...

It's value for money plus plus. Just 10 minutes from the airport. Not on the main road which means it's quieter. Even though I checked in past 10.30pm, I was able to order dinner and got a yummy chicken fried rice. The bed is comfy. AC works well, hot water and water pressure is fine. Staff are very helpful. I got a cab for birding at 5.30am arranged by Shrikanth at th...

check in with the hotel on 23.11.2018 with 6 guest. Arrival after midnight. Very good staff and very alert about their guest arrival. Immediately three staffs came and carried all the six luggage's up to our roomd. Room was very clean, unable to complain since it just for a night at very affordable price with good cup of coffee and tea with 3 choice of the morning bre...

Save your money, and book your stay elsewhere, for the same budget. This is a shabby hotel, in a dilapidated old building, that is not elder friendly (no elevator, bad stairs). Bed linen and towels are old, and have a yellowish unclean look. Toilet had stains, fittings were cheap, and of poor quality. Included breakfast is adequate. But you can have that anywhere outsi...

Having just come from a bad hotel in Chennai, this was like stepping into a daydream. The courtyard is so colourful and bright, and our aircon room on the first floor was such a relief. Our host, Jothi, was caring and attentive every step of the way, and was keen to help with anything we needed. Our room was a good size, sunny and very clean. The bed was very comfy (bu...

Its just nice for 1 day stay and quick nap at night time. The plug point is at weird placement, so its a bit hard to get your phone or gadget charged. Since you are not able to monitor them. Staff were very nice, able to navigate me to next destination as well. Check in early around 1pm, since i arrived at the hotel early. Food were nice also, price is manageable. V...

We really enjoyed the trip, because our stay is a main reason. The hotel staff are really polite and good hospitality. The hotel is quite far(~2 km) from the main(boating point) but it is not a matter if you want anything the hotel staff will arrange it. We stayed in room 103, it is a valley focused room and i spent lot of time in the balcony to enjoy the valley vie...

I felt very safe at the hotel. Being a single, female backpacker safety and security is very important. The staff were very helpful and friendly, especially the manager who directed me to Pondicherry on buses to avoid expensive rickshaw drivers who had already tried to scam me :)The location is central and the room was clean and basic, perfect for someone on a strict b...

We took 2 Deluxe AC rooms in hotel for a single-night stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though a bit small. Food in the restaurant below was very good. (Traditional Tamilian Veg cuisine - We didn't try others). A major advantage is that the hotel is very close to the Railway station (About 5 min by walk). They also offer 24 hr checkin-checkout, which was very...

I had very good stay at Clarion Hotel Chennai- Old name Hotel President. I surprised to know it was unveiled by Great actor and Cheif Minister of Tamil Nadu M G Ramachandran. My friends visiting the hotel said still high quality as before and felt comfy and spacious rooms. Foods are delicious and particularly Sweet Kaaram and filter coffee combos are my favourite here....

Good cosy hotel in the hill station with great value for money. Room has a small relaxing lounge area to put your feet up and enjoy the view of the scenery below. The gardens and pool area are well maintained. Dinner was good and service was excellent. I enjoyed the Indian cuisine and advice by the waiters let me enjoy the best food of the south. Improvement is require...

This was a chance booking as I had no idea what kind of resort I’d find mear Kanyakumari. It was the best chance booking I’ve ever made. It is a real paradise and our group loved everything about the place. Would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends. I’d go back there any time. Please continue to preserve this oasis. One of the special memories was wakin...

I stayed in Poppys Coimbatore for a day and it was among my best stays. Staff was very polite and courteous. Staff showed me around the hotel, the restaurant, Gym and the swimming pool. Room was clean, had good clean linen and they had all the required facilities. Room service and housekeeping was prompt. I ordered food as room service and it was really good. The burn...

Stayed there last weekend. It was amazing. we were in the heritage wing of the hotel and as the name indicates its old building. I was a bit skeptic about the room setup (being an old hotel) but to my surprise, they have maintained things well. Even if the bathroom fittings are of 90s they have maintained it well even with chennai's hard water condition. It was central...

Loved this place! Staff was very courteous and helpful. All the rooms had fantastic views of the valley, were clean and had the best amenities. Food was amazing and the resort provided activities that were fun and affordable. If you're looking to just unwind in the beauty of nature, this is the place. The landscaping made the property look Switzerland-esque. Loved the ...

A beautiful resort on the top of kodai near to chettiar park and kurinji temple. We (me & my wife) had travelled to Ooty in the month of June 2016, and decided to stay at the Fortune Sullivan court. The hotel has a very vintage feel to it, nice cozy rooms and warm staff. Breakfast in the morning was always a nice spread with a good combination of South indian, North indian and Continental dishes. The location of the hotel is also good, it is right ...

This is probably the best hotel if you wanted a leisurely stay in Kodai for a few nights. It's bang in the centre of the city, so it's close to all the major attractions. It's really easy to find cabs, get some food or just walk around to visit the nearby attractions. This hotel also has an amazing restaurant called the Aroma which is a must-visit for lovers of Indian ...

This is the first time we are staying in a hotel in Chennai and even after providing the Photo ID's they took a picture. I have never seen hotel taking pictures of the guest anywhere in the world we have stayed. I'm giving one star for this policy and never ever recommend it for any traveler until this policy is changed. And I thought, it was standard practice in Chen...

after a tiring 4 hour ride from chennai airport we arrieved at the mantra resort close to midnight. when the gates opened we were wowed by the ambience and calmness of the resort. ushered off swiftly to our room, the staff were very helpfull. the rooms were in pristine condition with full amentities. the open air shower with water pouring from a flat spout was similar ...

I really loved the entry with perfect booking tracking at the reception. No errors of any such funny things, which blended well with an concourse to the clean and neat traditional designed decor room. I was fascinated by overwhelming vegetarian buffet which i didn't expect. But Truly the Veg Buffet was really nice and not overpriced with some discount.

I actually really liked the hotel, they got roof swimming pool which unfortunately we didnt have time to try...its right near the beach where nobody swims really but very quiet, coming right after trip in Delhi with noisy hotel, i actually had a good rest. but its far from shops and u have to get taxi all the time or walk a bit. but they go nice restaurant with SPA and...

The best part of this hotel is it's location and infinity pool. It is located at the top of hill. We can see nice moving clouds in the morning hours from balcony. Infinity pool is the other best part of this stay where we get beautiful view. Helping curtesious staff. Food is average. Overall good experience with slightly high on cost.

we were totally 6 adults and 2 children, booked 2 garden view rooms. Pros :- 1) Room - the room was very spacious and was good with the bath tub. 2) Morning break fast was good. 3) Staff's care for the Guests was very much appreciated. 4) Location - Very calm place to relax. Cons:- 1) House keeping - they should check the rooms before handing over to the Guests. The...

hotel stay was excellent. really have no complaints. only issue is my booking through agoda. i believe i had booked a double occupancy room (going by the picture that was presented to me at the time of booking). later, i found out that i had only booked a single occupancy room. also, agoda had not relayed the booking to raj park, i am glad i had the confirmation number...

The 601 restaurant must serve the best food in India and I cant fault the staff so a big pat on the backs for the staff who have obviously been well trained by the management. A business is only as good as its staff and this hotel deserves 10 out of 10

We spent few days in this hotel as weekend getaway from the rush of Delhi.Didn't have high expectations, wanted to experience something new. The hotel is nice and clean, services corresponds to the number of stars of the hotel. Even cheapest motel in USA provides free coffee 24 hours to ALL residents . They don’t differentiate between towers and non towers. I did not pay low rate though it was non towers . 1400 rupees for three coffee is a rip off after I paid lot of money for room People outside lobby always want tips. Very awkward Front desk is too slow. Keys got invalidated few times ...

Staff went out of their way to help by providing a late afternoon check out, directions to locations of interest and even briefing taxi drivers for us. This is a luxurious hotel but the staff are very friendly and helpful and not snooty at all. The breakfasts are outstanding with an amazing buffet plus a la carte menu. This was a quickly planned trip and we booked up in GRT without much prior research done. Was really happy to find that it was worthy decision taken. Though it a bit pricy , the views and service levels by staff took off that feel. Wonderful Balcony views of the Valley from every room. And awesome terrace views of the Salem city lights in the night ( ofcourse you nee...

I am a local resident and I chose this hotel for celebrating my marriage anniversary and they made my anniversary memorable with their awesome hospitality and service. Customer service meaning I felt in this hotel after long time. Thanks for your service. I am planning to make a regular visit.😊

Stayed for two nights as part of a business trip. This is a really nice business hotel. While I do not know whether I should call it as a "five star" hotel (may be the government has lowered standards/ ambiance required for 5 star!), I would consider it as a great place for business stay. The best part of this hotel is its staff. Room service staff were very quick in ...

There are no words to describe this excellent place. They offer best of everything I have had in India, food, care, effort, generosity and customer service I give 10 stars ! The best Ayurvedic massage , lovely garden and clean pool Thank you all I will be back for sure

We upgraded to a ‘Club’ room (although there is no actual Club floor or lounge) which ended up being a lovely big room on the top floor, and happy hour(s) drink and snacks. Oddly, the room’s mini-bar cupboard and fridge were completely empty, although the checklist of all the yummy drinks and snacks we DIDN’T have was there. We had a huge bathroom, super comfortable be...

A great hotel with excellent management. Great experience started with my pre-booking inquiries by emails. Of the three 5-star hotels I contacted, Hilton was the most responsive, giving the most detailed information on tours and car service on the same day. Room size is good, not particularly big, but very clean and comfortable. Lighting is just right - bright but ...

The reception and the entire staff has been extremely welcoming and helpful into the details. The cooking is outstanding with a complete choice of eastern and western food. The facilities are beautiful. The beach is beyond the neat garden, 200m walk, with a snack bar. A star for this hotel and its staff!

Location of the hotel and view of the lake is one of the best things you would like staying in kodaikanal.
