The hostel is located in the north of innercity Potsdam, 5 minutes walk from the Sanssouci Castle and 300 metres from the Orangerie Palace. It offers bike hire, free WiFi and free use of an internet computer. Quartier SansSouci Hostel offers modern apartments and dormitories with shared or private bathrooms. Guests have access to a washing machine. The kitchen is fully equipped and available for all guests. Guests can eat and relax in the hostel’s common room, which includes dining tables, comfortable sofas, a TV, radio and board games. The botanical garden can be reached in 10 minutes’ walk. I needed a place to overnight at short notice. I dont normally stay in hostels but this suited me more than I realised until I got there. It was very close to San Souci which is why I went to Potsdam. I walked there. I was self driving in a rentacar and they had parking on site. I was also getting a bit sick of staying in conventional urban hotels so this was a really pleasant change. (At two other stops I had been able to stay in German versions of country motels, one in a village outside Munich and another on an old farm property.) I highly recommend this hostel.
