Beautiful little luxurious guest house”
I stayed with my family at this property in December 2019 in Shahi Suite. The guest house is located in an area where you cannot travel with your car, I had to park my car in a parking spot and travel via auto rickshaw to the guest house. I was aware of this before arrival so was prepared and as such is not a problem for me, but might be inconvenient if this matters to you. Our rooms were located on top floor and were beautifully done in a traditional Rajasthani manner. It had all the essential things and felt like a luxurious hotel room. Room size was big, with equally big bathrooms fitted with best fixtures. Bathroom shower area was not separated hence entire floor would get wet when using a shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. There is no lift and the stairs are pretty steep so it would be a problem for elders or people who are not comfortable climbing stairs. A small refrigerator was missing and would be nice to have (we needed fo store milk for my 1 year old daughter). Service was good and staff always ready to help. Owner gave us all the tips about do's and don'ts for Jodhpur. Food was excellent, prepared as per your likes. They also have a beautiful rooftop restaurant (probably best view of the fort and old city) Overall an excellent experience (not just stay) with great value for money. Recommended.

Good Quality Guesthouse in the old Jodhpur city”
Shahi is very beautiful decoration old style house with very cheap price. If you want to experience old heritage house plus modern decoration Shahi is a great choice. From your room or roof top you can see the Meherangarh Fort. The owner family is very lovely. The guesthouse is located in old city of Jodhpur in a small alley. You can walk around to take photo with blue house but it not easy for big car to get in but you can use tuk tuk service.

We spent two nights in a lovely room, perfect location for exploring the old city. Fantastic views of the fort from the rooftop terrace, a great place to sit & watch the sunrise & sunset with great views across the blue city. A beautiful heritage building with friendly & helpful staff/family.

A homey little gem”
Shahi Guest House is a charming, cozy place to stay in the old Blue City. It's only about 7-8 minutes' walk to the Sardar Market (Clock Tower), through narrow lanes chock-a-block with shops, but far enough away that it's reasonably quiet at night. This is a charming, centuries-old haveli with only 6 guest rooms, so there's no noise problem from the reception area, either. The bed was so comfy that even with my very bad back, I (blissfully!) overslept every morning, even on check-out day (my bad). But they were very kind, accommodating, and helpful, taking my bags down and still letting me take time to shower before checking out. The shaded rooftop restaurant has great food and an expansive view of the Fort, and is a perfect place to catch the breezes for a leisurely meal (the air-con in the room worked well, too). I will definitely stay again at this bargain heritage haveli!

Wonderful three days. My room was large and gorgeous. The view of the fort was fantastic and the antiques unique. Walked every where easily. Watched sunset from the roof. Staff were personable. This place made me love Jodhpur.

Charming Haveli in the best location”
My husband and I stayed at Shahi Guest House for one night of our 8 nights tour in Rajasthan. We loved the charm of the hotel from the moment we stepped in. Our room was on the top floor with a view of the fort and fabulous decor. We spent our evening meals and breakfast at the roof top restaurant. We thought it's was one of the best curries we had during our tour. The views were priceless! The resident owner and family are very welcoming and give us tips as to where to visit. Please note that this guest house is not really accessible by car. However, the owner had organised Tuk Tuk transfer from and to the Clock Tower so it's extremely convenient.

I had a lovely eclectic room at this hotel in the old district. The view from the rooftop restaurant was breataking. Also Mr Vishal the proprietor was genuinely helpful without doing any hard sell of tours etc. The staff very friendly too. Highly recommended

A Heritage property, modified/touched with advanced facilities. Good Hospitality by the property owner Hotel top view is impressive, from where you can see the old Surya Nagri and magnificent view of Mehrangarh Fort. Quality and quantity of Food served by Hotel is extremely delicious and good but communication from room to hotel is an issue. Property is situated in narrow passages of Old City, which can consider a problem In evening especially, Otherwise stay at this property is worth of money.

Nice guest house in old city but a bit of privacy issue”
This is a good guest house in the heart of the old city with a nice view of the Mehrangarh fort from roof top restaurant. However, there was some confusion regarding the room given to us. It was supposed to be a heritage suite but they apparently upgraded us to a shahi suite. The problem was that the shahi suite was supposed to have a view of Mehrangarh fort but this room didn't. This wasn't a major problem for me. The major issue was that the room had a window on the staircase side with just a basic cloth covering from inside. The staff told us to not worry about it but obviously we were not at all comfortable because of this. We asked for another room but they said the hotel was full. I thought this could have been handled better. Do try the food in their restaurant. It was delicious! Especially the Kashmiri dum aloo!!

The owner has transformed his ancestral property into a guest house which has 6rooms each one is different from another. The detailing is beautiful. The staff is very welcoming especially the food they serve is always fresh and delicious. During rajasthan visit this kitchen served the best food in my opinion. Reaching the hotel by tuk tuk is advised as streets are narrow. The owner will guide you how to visit places and is also kind enough to get a tuk tuk arranged if you are not ready to walk. Being in a central location, the local shops are 5min walk away. Even the fort is about 15min walk. Getting to the roof of the guest house is a bit of a task but it gives best views. Definitely worth staying.
