Nice hotel with clean rooms. Staff is good. We came as a group of 12 with senior citizens and children. To reach this hotel better come to Annapoorneswari bhojanalay and from there its 40 metres Main temple is 100 metres Visalakshi temple is 100 metres Ghat 1 is near like 500 metres.

An Ok Hotel in a very good location”
Pros: Location type s very close to Kasi Vishwanath temple. Easy to travel to other places in Varanasi from here. Staff were good mannered. Cons: Rooms were not very clean Bedsheets were not clean Lastly, site didn't mention about toilet was attached or common. So I had to pay extra money at the hotel to get a bath attached room

Okaish, but be aware of narrow corridors”
Points other should consider; 1) No towels and soaps 2) No water, unless you purchase from the reception 3) No proper room service 4) No 'manga' in toilet 5) have to travel 800 m by foot to reach this guest house, which consist of a lot of uphill, slippery and under construct road. The main gals is so narrow that you cannot open your umbrella. 6) No food available in house-must have to go out 7) No vehicles allowed, so perhaps no swiggy also. 8) AC does make creepy sound, but you may become use-to it. 9) Person-in-charge will not come to receive you despite late night arrival and no-light corridors- so, not so good behaviour. Pros: 1) good location, very near to gate no 2 (but it is temporarily closed, so we had to walk a lot to go to gate no 1). 2) 5 min walk to Meer Ghat (for water filling and bathing) 3) In locality, a lot of shops are there such as saree shops, chai walas etc. 4) Cheap for AC room and location.- AC works but make noise (window AC) 5) Wifi is available - roughly 40 Mbps

Need to improve room service, and need to keep clean room and dustbin with room fresher. No one pick-up reception call I call 3 to 4 time. No drinking water available fir complimentary. Keep clean washroom.

My experience is worst with teerth guest house. It is located inside street and rooms were not as per view in pic and expectation. Rooms were dirty which they provided and there was no choise option.

Very clean guesthouse ”
We had a great stay. The rooms were very clean, far above indian standards. The food was really, really good. The staff was very nice and helpful. It is located in the center of varanasi, close to the burning ghat. Yes, you have to walk 5 min through the narrow streets with your luggage to get there because the rickshaws are not able to drive there but that's worth the good location. If you have a look at the signs and ask some people it's also no problem to find it.

Cheap, close to ghats, but basic”
Overall, I had a very positive experience at Teerth guest house. It is an island of calm in a sea of complete chaos. It is in the middle of the old city, a labyrenthine area with streets too narrow for cars, so you will face a good 5-10 minutes walk with your luggage in very crowded and cramped streets. And let's not forget the ever present cow droppings... But after you're settled, you really appreciate the location and the people. A basic but fine place

The guest house is really well located and you will be able to visit the whole old city by walking. Beside this, the staff is really nice and helpfull. They can still improve the cleanness of the rooms but regarding to the price you get what you pay.

Bad option ”
As the stay was for a single day, it was ok. But the location of this guest house was too congested that no short route could reach to it. If you have heavy luggage or have backache issues or do not prefer walking too hard, then it's a strict no, because it is really tiring everytime to walk down and explore the area and then walk to the place again. For the similar prices, you can hire similar or even better rooms that are located exterior to the streets and closer to ghats. Cleanliness is ok, bed is really discomforting as one mattress is elevated to the other, aggravating back issues. Bathroom was ok, geyser was available, staff was nice,but this also can be availed at other places too. So, do have a closer look at the map to have a better idea of locations of every guest house, and choose a nearer one to the main road. Better, save your legs and energy for the ghats and other areas that you will have to walk through.

I was told that a valid Photo ID is required to check-in. However, at the time of check-in, hotel insisted on a specific ID -- Passport with valid visa which I did not carry. I had used government of India issued PAN card in other hotels to check-in. However, it was not acceptable by this hotel. I had to get my family to scan my passport and visa and send it by e-mail. If hotel has specific requirement of acceptable ID, it should have been made clear at the time of booking. It wasn’t. Interestingly, when I was ready to checkout, there was no record of my check-in. So all this drama of needing a proper-ID to check-in was really nothing more than a drama. The hotel is close to places of action but way inside series of narrow streets. It is also not accessible by a 3 or 4 wheel vehicle. So if you are carrying heavy luggage, be prepared. The roads leading to the hotels are so uneven that wheels on suitcases are of no help. For check-in I had to lift the luggage and carry it long distance from the main road, however, when checking out, I did ask for help with the luggage and it was provided. There was no rod or hangers to hang the clothes in a small wardrobe provided in the room. The bed made loud cracking sound every time I went to sleep or got out of it. The only thing positive was that it had plenty of hot water in the bathroom! I will not be staying in this hotel again.

From here we can go any where by walk. It's close to all the temples. 100 meters walk from Kashi Vishwanath Temple and other temples are very close like Anna Poorani, Vishalakshi, Shani, Kala Bhairavar and Vaaragi

A-C room does not have A-C. ”
We booked an AC room but it only had a fan. We tried to discuss this issue but they didn't do anything. Internet access was 100 rupees per person. The room and the shower was fine, but I was a bit shocked to find out that their main cook was only 12 years old. Nice rooftop though, and some of the staff was good.
