Magical”
We had an unforgettable experience staying in one of their nature cooled standard rooms. There is nothing standard about this room it’s absolutely unique. We slept with the huge window looking out onto the ocean open to the elements and the sound of waves crashing onto the beach sending us to sleep was something special. Great food in the restaurant added to the uniqueness that is the Dune. Their original eco friendly resort has been much copied but never bettered. Highly recommended

Value for money 💰. we visited around September 2021. And got the deal from agoda of around 7k. We have visited many other great places but this property is quite special and unique. 1. Rooms are extremely spacious and gives you chance to stay with nature. 2. Beach access 3. Breakfast (included) was great. 4. Very large property to explore. cons : 1. You need bicycle to move around the resort, but we weren't able to find any well maintained bycicles during our stay. 2. cleanliness can be better.

Unique Resort with large cottages”
This is my second visit to the Dune group of resorts and their USP of eco friendly and unique cottages are amazing. This time too we got a very unique and large cottages very well done up. Only flip side to this resort is they have a very limited food menu which could be improved. Apart from this the entire experience was amazing. Plus they are a pet friendly resort which is an added advantage. Kudos to the staff who were all cheerful and always ready to be of assistance. Will definitely visit again.

Very far from city”
I had booked this based on online reviews, however except for its location on the beach and breakfast menu, I was not very impressed with the resort facilities: Limited menu food and mostly punjabi style (very less local dishes available). It was difficult to move around after evening time, as there was very less lighting and for our room (garden view 1) there was no light along the path till the door of the room. The bicycles kept were rusty and not placed strategically . There was no toothpaste provided in the room, no room service at all, which beats the purpose of going to stay in a resort.. considering that I had reserved the rooms two months in advance I had to pay the entire amount upfront (which is again not something I had expected whereas Agoda site had mentioned that I would be able to confirm and make payments by end of November). For the premium price I paid I was very disillusioned by the facilities as it seems the photos are not updated on the site.

Good place but certainly not a value for money. Place is somewhat undeveloped which may suit some travellers looking for a retreat.. Rooms are somewhat good for a nature setting. The biggest con was the expensive food. The buffet had a very few options but was still very expensive. End of the day it is a resort that I would pay around 4-4.5k for, anything more that that is too expensive for what you get

Not worth the money”
The pics in the site are very deceptive. We were jus given a normal room and the AC wasn’t even enough to cool the room in the night. The day in the room was even worse. Water was stagnant in the bathroom and water heater was not working in one of our rooms. To refill the drinking water they took forever 🙄 Though the food in the restaurant was good, it was a little expensive. Overall the resort isn’t a luxury one and it’s defl not worth the price.

The huts and houses were cute but I couldn't leave the property due to restrictions. Had to eat only there and the options and quantities were pitiful. It's far away from the town as well. But good for a total getaway from civilisation.

I Visited Dune on 15th august 2022 weekend. I must say that was the worst stay ever , so based on the August weather in Bangalore I chose the non AC room, but weather was very hot and humid. Knowing the weather, the hotel management should have kept extra fans / cooler in all the non AC rooms, just the ceiling fan was not enough. We got to stay in a room made of bamboo, however, most of the bamboos were broken in between, at one point one chair got broken as well and my MIL fell down. it was too risky to stay there, not sure how they are maintaining the room. They charge bomb, but compared to that service is zero. Loads of insects keep coming in the room but they don't provide any anti insect spray. Funny part is we got to see baby frog in the commode and were scared to use after that. Now coming to the food part: food is very average, no varieties at all compared to Rs 900 ( buffet). The dining area is hot and very few fans again. The waiters are the one who is sweating most. Room service: the room service is very good, they take minimal time to deliver food in the room. The only good part is they have a private beach, and pretty calm, so you do not have to go to any crowded beach, you can enjoy here. In short: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, TIME, ENERGY . You will get far better deal and service in many other hotels.

There were mosquitoes all around the place. Had to share room with frogs lizards and mice. Even our stuff was eaten by mice. Staff was very non cooperative. He cancelled our call 5 times before finally picking when called with other number. The mosquito net was cut from many places and it took an hour to replace it. The room was full of mosquitoes. Even the dinner buffet was full of non veg options.

As you enter the resort, it is really disappointing to see the reception area to be so small and you have to fill in your details standing and the staff are totally unaware of how to make a guest comfortable. Vast areas of land stand wasted and the whole place looks dilapidated. The place can by no stretch of imagination be called an eco-village. Indoor activities are limited and there were not any outdoor activities. The food was not great. The restaurant was totally understaffed and those that were on duty were specially trained to be unfriendly. They offer little assistance which baffled me. With little care for the environment and plans and vegetation and lots of improvement for a guest-friendly staff training, this place could well be worth spending some time. If you want to enjoy spending a couple of days by spending so much money, there are plenty of better destinations.
