E we spent 3 nights at this property in a lake view room. The view from the hotel of the sunset is breathtaking and in my opinion every bit as good as that from the Monsoon palace. Very helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast was great but could do with a wider spread for a5 star hotel. There were no cold cuts, cheese board or salad bar. The food was otherwise excellent. This hotel is great value for money and I can recommend it both for business as well as leisure travelers

We had a very memorable stay at the Lalit Laxmi Vilas! The location is superb, the staff was super attentive, the room was awesome and the food was delicious. We would most certainly make this our go to place not only in Udaipur but throughout india!

Memorable Stay”
This hotel is all about the views! Spectacular sunsets. Romantic atmosphere dining outdoor with delicious (and very spicy) Indian cuisine. No elevator since it is an old palace, but the AC worked well in our room. The main dining room is cozy. It gets very busy during breakfast rush hours. But the managers and the chef himself came out to help and serve. Very personable and friendly services. Highly recommend this place.

Very clean & good room from view”
The room and whole place was so clean. The food was good. Few things: 1. When I reached for dinner, I was asked for my room number three times by three different people. It was a bit offending and their tone of asking was as if I was trying to get free food! When I gave feedback on their tab and went near my room, one of their person came literally running to ask for the reason I rated staff a bit low. This humble gesture proves they care for feedback and I respect them for that. But when you are paying a premium for the stay, you expect hospitality. Though this was sorted when we visited during breakfast and they all took care and showed warmth. 2. The room was good with a view but NOTHING like you expect in a hotel with “palace” in it. Would I recommend it? Yes, for sure if you are getting the deal under 7k.

Located on a hill at fateh sagar makes the view just awesome... When I went there was a wedding which was a bummer for us as the restaurant at lake front was non functional.. the breakfast was not as expected as per a 5 star hotel , no continental inclusion.. also they don't have a swimming pool... no bathtub too
