Very lucky location, near to Laozhai mountain and boat station. Stuff are insane welcome, one of the best hostel in China where i stopped

excellent location and cleaniness”
It is good transfer from the train station by bus of cny6 to get to the hotel in 15 mins. Then need to work more then 10 mins to get to hotel. nice clean room and I stayed at room with the balcony. It is ok to stay at dormitory of 4 is ok if you are in same group with friends otherwise stay individual room.

Nice place with friendly staff who speak good English. They will help plan hikes and activities in the area. However, the wifi didn't work while I was there.

The bunk bed room was ok. Could be improved in many way. But the staffs and people are very nice. Front desk yidan very pretty, guarionex is friendly. Had nice hike with them.

Budget hotel in nice area... But a part of the hotel is under renovation at this time (march 2019)... Soundproofing is not efficient but fortunatly the foreigners who stay there know that and try not doing noise...

The best holidays”
I think this is the best place to stay in XingPing. Recommendation, if you not speak Chinese, batter to talk with stuffs:) the price for a renting a bicycle it side hotel more expensive than outside (the price outside 15 per day, in yangshuo 10 per day). The stuff is always ready too help, very good breakfast inside hotel, we loved it! In hotel a lot of foreigners, view from my window was the best!!! Ins easy to take a bus to Yangshuo 阳朔 8RMB per person! And I'm propose you to rent a biceckles at this cities, as yangshuo and other cities around are so different! Thanks to stuff:) we will come back again!

Get to Xingping before it is turned into another Yangshuo”
Aside from the ferry port at the river, which is mobbed by hordes of tour groups getting on or off the Li river cruise boats, Xingping is still small town China. There are no western fast food chains here yet, or Starbucks. The streets are still being paved and sidewalks are being built, along with new hotels. It is a pleasant change from glitzy Guilin and Yangshuo with a lot of great hiking right from the hostel.

We spent one night in july 2017, even tough the room was small, but clean and very nice. The staff very friendly and helpful. This hostel is very recommended if you travelling to xingping or yangshuo

I stayed 4 days and have no real complaints, I have since booked at their other hostel in Guilin. I booked a superior double room which was a little cramped but rooms varied in size. They were decked out in traditional wood which gave it a nice feel. Bed was fine , shower was luke warm most of the time. Staff were helpful , a little laid back. There are many tourists during the day, very quiet at night. Building work everywhere. My guidebook from 16 years ago stated there was only one guesthouse, there must be over 20 plus now. It still had a village feel though, friendly folk and more honest traders than Yangshuo. I chilled out but two days is enough to see most sights.

Friendly, comfortable, great location ”
Good couple of nights although we where unable to do any of the trips as due to the rain and flooding it was too dangerous to go out on the river. Because of the weather the whole place felt a bit damp. The roof terrace was great for some wonderful sunset views. The pizza was delicious and the breakfast ok. Would stay here again if we ever get the chance to return to Xingping. Staff friendly and helpful.

The Hostel is right at the river, just 100m away. It is also near to the Bus Terminal if you are coming from Yangshuo for example. The roof top terrace is also nice. Don't miss the 20RMB viewing spot. But plan to stay at least for 1 full day to enjoy all the interesting places.

AMAZING pizza!”
Fantastic, Xingping being quite a small place this really was a little gem. They have a stone oven and the pizza is incredible. Good location close to streets with things happening and right around the corner from a pier area to catch bamboo rafts. Our room had a great view of the mountains. Lovely area lovely hostel.

Great place but...”
It is definitely a quite pleasant place to stay while visiting this "used to be peaceful fishing village". We had a nice view over mountains, which unfortunately ruined by the ravaging construction.. Do not expect too much from the staff, they are nice but not really informative. By the way, there is an ATM which accepts foreign cards in front of the bus station.

Only real solution in XingPing”
The staff is lovable and speaks English a little. The location is good. But actually it is impossible to have a shower because no hot water. The wifi-internet is low : impossible to get your necessary websites, you can just send emails. But unfortunately you have no real other hotel solution in XingPing

Comfortable night in Xingping”
Lots of construction of new hotels in the area, but This Old Place still has a great view, friendly English-speaking staff, a cosy feel, and terrific wood-fired pizza. Breakfast wasn't much to write home about.
