Good food and service of restaurant”
There were local guides waiting for us w/ our booking information. This unexpected arrangement made us uncomfortable. There was no free shuttle from hotel to ski area, a bit inconvenient. But the cooking of the hotel was specially local and friendly and delicious. they had smaller dinning room for our family alone and even allowed us to bring the dishes to eat in our room.

Rooms are of a comfortable size but hot water in the showers was inconsistent though warm water is guaranteed (okay for those who do not need steaming hot showers). I was actually unaware that by booking through Agoda, I was provided with free transport from the train station to the resort and daily trips to and from the ski field. That was definitely a plus in our trip.

Expectation vs reality”
I have stay here with a family of six people. Got ourselves 3 twin-beds rooms. I would expect something better, something that is equivalent to Beijing international hotels, good international breakfast, English programmes, etc.... To my disappointment, breakfast is plain porridge, hard boiled eggs and pickles and vegetables. TV programmes are only in Chinese, not even one English news channel. No internet access. Bathroom is poorly maintained. Bed is hard. It is Winter season and you can see a few ladybugs in the room. A lot more can be seen at the window rims when you open the window. When I tried to retrieve an item dropped under the bed, I found a number of dead ladybugs instead. Nothing against this hotel but one has to be realistic when booking here. Paying high price does not mean that you will get a quality hotel in Yabuli. If the objective is to Ski only, then this room will do fine. If you are foreigners and do not speak Chinese, it is better to pay higher price for another resort.
