Zostel Rocks”
Zostel Chennai has a good location, friendly staff and a vibrant atmosphere. They have a lovely rooftop where we go and hangout in the evenings with beers and a great company of musicians. They have a kitchen you can use for light cooking, a huge number of restaurants on swiggy and zomato deliver to the location within 20-30 mins. Metro station is at walking distance and you can also rent bicycles at metro stations. Overall, I would say it’s the perfect place to stay if you’re travelling. Lastly, Thanks to Shirish, Vishu and Prabodh for helping me through things and making my stay amazing.

Bestest Hostel in Chennai”
I had such a fabulous time staying at Zostel Chennai. The receptionists were utterly helpful and welcoming. They taught me how to use Swiggy to order food and got a cab for me when I couldn't use Ola on my phone myself. They even printed my E-visa for me free of charge. The hostel is located in a posh area of Chennai with lots of consulates nearby. I made some incredible Indian friends here. I'll definitely stay with Zostel when I come back to India.

Great place for backpackers ”
Either you are on a trip or business meeting. This is a great place to stay for a solo traveller. The best part of Zostel is that its just a homely environment. Even though the check out is early. You could use hallway and washroom until evening or night. Even leave your luggage behind and collect it by end of the day which is just another plus point. Over all great experience in Chennai zostel. I wish the bathroom was lil cleaner and the bed wasn't that comfortable. Rest everything is just great.

People make a place and it's definitely what is happening in Zostel. The staff is amazing and really kind. I already went to this place twice only to enjoy to chill with them. The hostel is clean, rooms and beds are good. The rooftop is the perfect place to chill. I definitely recommand this hostel!

I stayed In a private room, we had no water a lot of the time, the door did not lock and there were no towels provided for free. That being said I will still stay there again but only in the dorms.

I stay some days there，at the beginning everything was good. But the last day when I check out，one of the reception asked 1000Rs from me and said he is poor，I am rich guy. This made me so upset. Everyone there is so friendly. I dont know why he do that. This is totally not correct. And my money is nothing concern to him！！！Zostel is a good brand in India，it should not have this thing happen.

A great place to chill out and meet very friendly travelers,the staff were more than helpful they gave us maps and advice on the area.There is a money changer 100m away (with ID).There is a seating area on roof where you can hang out but make sure you are covered in mosquito repellent on a night,the kitchen is well equipped but could be cleaner,large fridge for keeping your beer cold,the nearest liquor store is quite a distance away,i had a scooter so no problem,bars in in Chennai are hard to find. Pros. Quite cheap. The reception staff very helpful and accommodating. Cons. The hostel is not as clean as most hostels i've been to. Not many eateries around and quite off from.the city center, can be quite hard to find since located in an inner location. Overall, will probably try other more centrally located hostel the next time..

Bed is clean and comfortable with a lot of space and lockers to put your bags. The shower room is clean and big, with hangers for clothes. Wi-Fi worked great Common room/terrace great for hanging out or watching some TV location is in safe residential area with restaurants and shops 5min walk away. staff super friendly and helpful, thanks Dwarak!
